Amazing experience of the Amazon yet comfort of a resort. Luis was an amazing guide in the jungle and we’ve learned so much about local flora and fauna from him. Balsa raft jumping, tasting Lemon ants, Animal rescue center visit , it will all stay in our memories for long. Thank you Luis for making this stay so memorable.

The place itself is very pretty, built using local style and materials. Swimming pool was a centre of attention for our two children (seems like the only children during our stay here) and they absolutely loved it.

One of the most memorable vacations I have ever had. The rooms are very clean and they face the river. The common areas like the pool and bar were great. The most memorable thing though was the food. Every meal was better than the last one. Oh and the guides and excursions are amazing. A must while visiting Ecuador

This is a great place to stay if you want a taste of the Amazon jungle and still be comfortable. Rooms are nice (No AC though) and they are clean. Beds could be a bit nicer but again you are near the Amazon jungle. The swimming pool is very nice and they have buffets for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Staff is very friendly and attentive. They have activities to keep you busy during your stay. Make sure to bring mosquito repellent.

this place is just stunning. the food is great as well, and the rooms are so peaceful. the location is great and the staff is lovely as well. henry helped us a lot and he was amazing!

Absolutely breathtaking. There are so many fabulous places to stay in the Amazon, but Casa del Suizo is a step above. The rooms, eating area, pool area, natural vegetation, and vistas are all without compare. Guaranteed you will have a fabulous stay!

Beautiful resort on the top of the hill.

What a view! This hotel is located in a beautiful place. You take a boat generally to get there, and the views upon arrival never stop. It’s gorgeous, with views of the Amazon rainforest and the Napo River. I would go back in a heartbeat. We did 3 excursions while there, and all were really good. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. The food was always FANTASTIC, truly. It’s buffet style but the food and fruit we’re always so good and fresh.
I will note that it’s important for guests to be able to speak Spanish. Most staff are primarily Spanish speakers, so make sure you’re studying up before coming here. You’ll have a much better experience if you can communicate at least some in Spanish. The rooms don’t have air conditioning, though the ceiling fans work well. On days it’s gets to 90 during the day, the rooms can take a while to cool down at night, but they always did. And like another reviewer posted, water is a commodity in Ecuador, especially for tourists who are advised not to drink the tap water. They have water jugs available before excursions at 8:00-9:00, and then again from 2:30-3:00ish. We filled ALL our bottles up at these times daily, and bought water from them if we ran out. It’s something to consider and plan ahead for. I agree that buying large bottles ahead of coming to Casa del Suizo is smart.

We had a great time at La Casa del Suizo. The staff were all very accommodating and kind. The food was good and the activities were entertaining. My only complaint is that drinkable water isn't available for free. They will provide some water before activities but if you want regular water for a break or just because you are thirsty you have to pay.

What an amazing getaway! The rooms are comfortable, with hot showers. Meals include breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffets that vary each day. The lodge provides boots for all excursions, which is a total game changer given the muddy trails and bullet ants found in the jungle. Nothing to be scared or worried about. This trip exceeded my expectations. I can’t wait to return!

We stayed for 2 nights & had an excellent time! The staff was friendly, always wore a mask, the food was excellent, our room was really nice & had a great view of Rio Napo while laying on the hammock which was on the balcony. The swimming pool was cleaned every day & we swam in it quite a bit. They took us on excursions, it was really interesting to see all the different kinds of plants, we fed the caymans, that was a neat experience, the guides were awesome! We built a raft & floated down the river, visited a butterfly sanctuary, all in all was an awesome experience, highly recommend staying here!

This place is like an Amazon dream. Great rooms overlooking the Napo River. Gourmet cuisine. Nice pool. Staying here was a gift.

Great stay. Staff were really helpful. Excellent individualized Care. We are a vegan family with 3 young kids. Accommodated our needs nicely. I highly encourage a trip to the amazon and would Come back to this place in a flash. Only wish we could have stayed longer. Ask for Daniel Tirira, if you need an English guide.

To say Casa del Suizo is a 3-star Hotel doesn’t give enough credits to this wonderful place. The Amazon rainforest is literally at your room’s balcony. The Napo river moving at great speed a few feet below provides a unique background sound you will not find easily anywhere in the world. I found it profoundly relaxing and peaceful. Staff of the Hotel and the rainforest tours are really kind; they treated me and my family of 4 (2 kids ages 4 and 2) like real family. Food is buffet that changes menu daily. Just make sure you bring cash to pay for tours and leave good tips for the locals, they will appreciate it.

Great experience in the rain forest! Beautiful views overlooking the Napo river, good variety of food during all meals, and very relaxing atmosphere overall. The rooms are very basic with NO window, just a mosquito screen, so you can hear everything - we thoroughly enjoyed it but some might not be expecting it. The best part of our stay was the hike and excursions with our guide Henry! He was accommodating, friendly, and made every trip special.

Everything is beautiful. Food is excellent. Staff very friendly and will going above and beyond to assist you to make your trip a memorable experience. The landscape was spectacular and flowers were blooming and putting our beautiful scents all day long. Facility offered many exciting activities such as hiking Amazon forests with experts tour guide, butterflies farms and animals rescued shelter, zip lining and river rafting. I would differently return if opportunity arise.

Amazing location. The hotel has some of the most beautiful grounds I have ever seen in a hotel... And you are in the Amazon Rain Forest. Be sure to take the nature hike, on the private area, up river, reachable by boat. Gorgeous. Town is cute and quaint, so be sure to explore.

Room was spacious and clean. Pool was great but the activities and guide were the best. We had some issues with having water in the room but was addressed immediately. The food was fine. We really enjoyed the fresh fruit. Overall I highly recommend it. A good introduction to the Amazon

Wow, what an amazing place to stay and relax. Among the activities that we did was, walking on the Rainforest, visit a house of chocolate growing and making chocolate, and amazoonico an animal sanctuary.
The food was very delicious. Highly recommend it.
