Guayaquil Land Terminal

A truly amazing place!!! ...far more than just a bus terminal, it is worth a visit just to walk around!! ...The only problem is NO BEER at night for those trapped there waiting for a night bus... probably sensible really! lol... but it gave me a good walk, as next door is the airport, that I walked to, and had a beer... or Two! horrid price, but worth it! Airport grounds are HUGE! It was several km just to get into the place lol!!
But Terminal... Buses drive in on several levels, it has a large shopping centro, and huge food court, and open free central cinema for all, and good security, as I didn't get accosted once by anyone asking for money, see my passport (even in lovely friendly Hamburg, Germany I did outside the main train station! And reported to the next police I saw!) No problemas. And there are various other areas to the place, inc a MASSIVE!!!!!!! Bridge that is nice to walk across and see lots more from high up! ...and if not travelling out of Guayaquil, try the big outdoor market to one side.
In all, after the horror stories you read about Guayaquil... I found it a very safe, friendly and a truly lovely place to visit... lil me, never travelled alone before, had lived for years in a lil UK village of about 400ppl, then BOOM! A city of 2 million, alone... I LOVED IT! So much I didn't just change bus there 3x more during my travels around Ecuador, but stayed in Guayaquil, and always loved spending time in TERMINAL!

Very good, clean and secure bus terminal, is a shopping mall you will find anything you need. Restrooms are congested. You can buy bus tickets to any others cities in Ecuador. Taxis are right at the entrance.

Crean, big and organized. This land terminal is one of the best I've visited. There are many stores where you can buy food, clothes, souvenirs and many more things. There are 2 floors where you take your bus, so be sure which floor you are assigned to. Inside the land terminal is a bit hectic, so be cautious. Outside, there is usually a wait line, so be sure to arrive with some time to spare.

It was great. We were in and out in less than 10 minutes.

I was there two weeks ago and is the biggest bus station but thereisn't free wi fi or it was very compress

Lots of security around who are very helpful steering you in the right direction. It can be a bit confusing with three levels and so many bus companies requiring you to buy your tickets from different ticket windows depending on where you are going. If you don't know where you're supposed to go just ask...no problem. Even if you don't speak Spanish, just state your destination. There's a food court, a toy store, other shops and lots of snacks available from vendors. Super convenient location right next to the airport. Keep your valuables on your lap...not on the floor.

It has everything . Anywhere you want to by bus and economical

We stayed there for a couple of hours since we had to wait for our bus to Quito.
The bus terminal provides you with free wifi, lots of possibilities to eat (cheap), lots of shops and there were many security people which made us feel safe at all times.
Actuay it feels like a shopping big mall where you can easily spend 2-3 hours and have a nice meals waiting for your bus.

Wild , probably the biggest , busiest.bus terminal you will ever see. Lots of food stores. resturaunts ,
shopping mall and of course bus connections,local , intercity , interprovincial and international to all points in South America

The best of Ecuador since it is attached to the shopping mall where you can eat in a food court and do something while waiting to take the bus or before going to the airport.

This place is good. Big, has shops, you have to pay for the toilet m, just a small coin. But the tickets on the ground floor.

One of the bigest and modern bust station, it has more than a hundres stores electronics, pharmacy, restaurants, coffe shops, bakeries, clothes and a lot more with buses that goes to any where in Ecuador every 30 minutes (to go some places you might have to conect with otre routes) the buses most of them new and confi..

Great place for a quick stop to shop for something also to run errands. There is also a decent food court where you have various choices. Furthermore, you can take a bus from this terminal to literally any part of the country. In fact, you can even travel internationally to neighboring countries.

It's the bus terminal of Guayaquil, very busy, but if you're interested in Window shopping like meself, then, you can grab a bite and stroll through 😊. There are many shops selling beautiful and affordable shoes for ladies

This large bus station has a window for just about any destination you want to go to. They have a lot of kiosk for whatever you want to purchase as well as hair salons nail salons and more. Is well they have grocery shopping and a pharmacy and a very large food court.

Not our first visit, staff is always friendly and helpful. Lots of food options and shops.

Great place. They renewed some places... it's a cheap way to find transporation that gets you to different provinces of Ecuador.

I always get asked for reviews of bus terminals..it's a fricking bus terminal..
However I do take the buses all over this stunningly beautiful biodiverse country so here we go - I'm going to introduce my rating system - with 100 points in total - 20 per star. 20 per question.

Guayakill does a good job. Always safe, rarely hassled, fine toilets ( although always travel with your own loo paper) coffee - yep got that covered and WiFi too you can't really work on it but you can check messages etc. There are internet places available if you have some actual stuff to do.

Best terminal in all of ecuador... clean fast, and friendly.. secure area.. taxis waiting in secured area.. personal friendly and helpful.
