Thermal SPA Novaqua Hostería Durán

We did everything possible there but the mud baths because it was a little cold...we got a package that included all access and a spa massage for $80 total for both of us...this was listed on their website in the English version however when we call them and spoke to them in Spanish they did not seem to have the ability to read the English version of the website or know what we were talking about so you have to be very specific about what you are asking for...we made our massage reservation in advance because I read that sometimes they fill up however when we were there there was almost no one there and they rushed us to do our massage right away for some reason...we tried the hot Turkish bath the dry sauna the alternating hot pool and cold pool swam in the actual pool... We did not eat at the restaurantand the only beverage provided is some green tea that is pre-made... They do provide towels and a robe for you... The view of the church in the distance at night is spectacular as the sun is going down... The best part was at the end my partner and I actually felt very relaxed just like we were hoping for I would definitely go back again we were there for about 5 hours and could have stayed longer for sure especially if it was a warmer sunny day.

Wow, this place is incredible! We took advantage of the Diamond package for couples, and at only $99 for both of us was an incredible bargain. It included unlimited use during the day of the main hot pool, the enclosed hot and cold pools, the steam boxes, the wet and dry saunas, and the mud bath. In addition, we each enjoyed a full body massage and an intimate jacuzzi bubble bath with candlelight! Now, to top it off we relished a lunch at Hostal Duran that was superb and came with this package! Highly recommended deal and place for couples!

I recommend buying the cheapest access you can as no one seemed to check which wristband you had on but maybe that's just because it wasn't very busy.

Very relaxing experience. We liked it a lot. We did the package for $22/person - sauna, hot/cold pools, mud-bath, turkish souna and tea with empanadas. But tbh, we mostly enjoyed the hot/cold pools and the sauna, so if we come again, we will go for the basic package of $16.
The only negative comment I have is that, if you want to buy smth extra from the restaurant, you have to go pay at the reception, then come back with the receipt etc etc… not a convenient experience.
Other than that, the rest was great!

I recommend getting here early so you can enjoy all of the different services they have in addition to a great massage. The natural hot and cold tubs are a shock at first but you get used to the temperature change and it becomes more manageable. They are a great way to increase circulation. The steam boxes were a cool new experience as well. Very relaxing day!

I really enjoyed my visit. There might be better options nearby if you only want certain things like a warm pool, but the value you get for any package can't be beat (and they start at $15). Plus, NO KIDS allowed ensures a peaceful ambiance for those not looking for a family experience.

We had an incredible and relaxing time at Novaqua on our first visit. We loved it here and will be coming back. Reasonable prices, helpful staff, good food, tranquil atmosphere.

Awesome place. Great service and reasonable price. Massage was very good, so the other services, very thorough. Steam room was great. Steam boxes, a pleasant surprise. Minor drawback was the main pool was lukewarm, not as hot as expected. A place to relax and have a great time.

This is my favorite thermal spa. It's not the most expensive, but the quality is the same as those expensive ones. Great staff, cleaned constantly, can find times during the day that are not to busy. Very relaxing atmosphere. And I love the adult only rule!

Fun place to go to just to relax. This place contains a pool, sauna, cold and hot pools that help with blood circulation, and a mud bath. The food is quite tasty as well however I would recommend going to nearby restaurants instead. To go into this pool you will need a cap. The sauna contains eucalyptus which is beneficial towards the respiratory system.

We spent several days wondering Cuenca and came across this gem on our last day. It was great. Staff is friendly. Facility is nice and kid free. Overall, a great way to cap off a great trip to a wonderful country.

I love Novaqua so much so, that I bought a yearly pass. Of all of the Spas (4) it is my favorite. It is for ages 16 and up, which I appreciate.

This was a very nice and clean establishment. The best hot spring place I have been to in Ecuador. The pricing was very reasonable in the packages. Will definitely go back if I'm ever back in this country.

Great place for just adults or family time. We have been twice and will definitely go again!

This is one of the higher-end thermal bath options in the area. Kids under 16 are not allowed. You can pay to enter just the large thermal pool, or upgrade to have access to the sauna and hot/cold "contrast" plunge pools. There are also many spa services available. There is a snack bar with a good menu including vegetarian options. Very relaxing setting and great view.
