Challwa House

The food was great, especially the acai bowls and the tropical salad! The fruit was so sweet and delicious :)
There was a very clean bathroom.
The service was good. The food and drink took about 20-25min to arrive.
The veggie wrap was very basic and mostly just tortilla (but that may have been because we ordered it vegan) The lemonade was sour, not sweet.

Please order Bolon or tigrillo here. (Ecuadorian typical breakfast) You won’t regret

Epic spot to sit and sip a coffee, eat breakfast or lunch and shop! Good vibes and chill, great for remote working, too!

One of the best most consistent places in Ayampe. Came here on multiple occasions during my stay. Try the swell Açaí bowl

El tigrillo por desayuno era muy sabroso. Gente muy amable y se puede ver el mar y disfrutar el sonido de las olas:)

Sehr freundliches und nettes Personal. Ich bestellte Tigrillo, ein regionales Gericht und einen Saft namens Tomate del arbol. Beides war sehr lecker, worauf ich nochmals einen Saft bestellte.
Zum Tigrillo bekommt man einen Kaffe, und einen Saft serviert und für den Preis würde ich das selbe wieder bestellen.

El sitio es súper lindo, cerquita del mar! Es perfecto para un desayuno o comer algo por la tarde antes del sunset! Tienen varias opciones de bebida y el café es deli

Super Kaffee und bestes Frühstück in Ayampe! Hier wird man schon am Morgen glücklich rausspazieren! Avo-Toast, Acai Bowl, Wraps und vieles mehr. Immer wieder gerne!

Nada mejor que el Tigrillo del Challwa!

Es la segunda vez que voy y me lleve una experiencia mucho mejor. Pedimos el desayuno americano y el de avocado toast, 10/10. El pan que sirvieron en ambos desayunos estaba increíble!! El café en mi opinión es de los mejores de Ayampe 🤩

Menus show different prices than what they charge. Not 4 USD for drinks it’s 5 USD, at least it was for me.

They divided the wrap in two and charged you full price for two wraps. So small salad with tortilla covering… so not what the pictures show. And if you’d like it to-go there is an additional 1 USD charge.

The 5 USD drinks were good and the food tasted fine, but it is like they go out of their way to make you feel like a mark. I left feeling a bit cheated, and irritated.

The tigrillo was good. The overall attention was poor. They took over 35 minutes to bring a cup of coffee (not great coffee either). I overheard the waitress telling another customer like 15 minutes after she had ordered, they didn't have what she had asked (burgers). I won't go back.
