Very nice place. Great selection of dishes, including several local ones. Ribs are smoked on spot for 8+ hrs. Craft beers on tap. Would recommend this place. Found this gem based on reviews and was not disappointed.

The choice of beer is awesome, the BBQ ribs were delicious. I ate until I couldn’t move anymore and sat down in front of the fireplace to have some light reading. Already preaching to my friends to come by this place if they’re ever around.

Best fish soup I have ever had.
Great atmosphere and nice people. The restaurant is nicely decorated, it is obvious that the people take pride in what they do.
Also the beer was good. (Absurd)

A great place to experience something unconventional. If the choice of music is short of a surprise, it's compensated by excellent food, a very friendly chef, and interior design that's a bit nostalgic but very cosy.

Everything was super deliciouse and the staff was so friendly. This is definitely one of the best place in Estonia.

Well, I haven't felt such a good and warm welcome for a while in a 'restaurant'. It was so good and cosy, I do totally reccomend this place. Real bbq made outside of restaurant!

If you are a meat lover, don’t event think about something else than BBQ pork ribs! It could be the best I have tried in Estonia!

Small pearl in Narva-jõesuu! As our hotel did not offer late breakfast and all other dining places were closed we went to the city to grab some brunch. After looking around and finding mostly soviet-feeling food we saw small building, which did not look really inviting but burning grill outside in a cold winter day gave us a hint - there must be more inside. As we went in the room had interesting vibe. Looking a bit messy, yet interesting and inviting. The fireplace gave us warmth as it was -13 outside and we were able to sit just next to it. It did feel like a hunting cabin in the woods. And then came the menu and the food...

And what a journey of mouthful enjoyment it was! The frog legs was a surprise we did not expect to be served here. Steak - easy to ruin, was made just perfect. Ribs did just melt in the mouth! And dessert - man, it was enjoyment!

Anyway, unexpected surprise! Probably best, warmest estaurant in the town! Also the staff made us feel like home.

Essential part of Narva-Jõesuu Experience. The place is a bit rustical, so is the service. But the rustitism is intentional and with a bit of kindness the service soon warms to deep care. But the foods are excellent - local and traditional dishes with a twist: a lot of "silmud" and really surprising combinations of the dishes. Highly recommended experience for openminded and curious people. If you want a traditional Italian or pub experience, you may want to go elsewhere: everybody, including you and Franzia would be happier.

Prepare yourself to be amazed and except unexpected. This place isn't your traditional kebab and chips shop. Just go with a flow and trust the head chef recommendations and the choice of wines. Friendly advice - book your table well in advance to avoid disappointment.

This was truly a very unique experience! The ribs from Chef Indrek was absolutely delicious! Franzia truly offers an amazing culinary experience with some heavy metal tunes, the personal touches like the cucumber in the Gin and the delicious butter with the bread platter... go see for yourself! You need to put this place on your go-to list!

This place is awesome! Complete masters of the grill, one of the best ribs I've ever tasted. Handmade bread, amazing duck, craft beers...totally unexpected. :)

Franzia is a place made with love and passion. It offers an authentic atmosphere and a selection of delicious dishes. Fresh fish, homemade bread, beer for every taste, and a stuffed man-goat spinning around under heavy metal tunes! Chef Indrek is an amazing cook and a genuinely great guy!

Absolutely great experience! Unusual dishes, delicious and the right amount. Chef was around and made some unusual things to try for us, but its because it was not busy. In any case, place is a must go if you are around and you love food.. !!

Been here twice and both times left happy. The meals were very tasty, and the craft beer completed the picture. Great (and long too) choice of wines, beers and spirits.
Don't be discouraged by the looks of the place, in fact it's one of the region's hidden gems!
P.S. update from Nov'2022. The place is still amazing to my taste and has a very special atmosphere in cold season as you can seat by the fire, enjoy cold craft beer, which is fab by the way. The cuisine was top notch, as always.
