Eesti Muuseumraudtee Lavassaare muuseum

Such an interesting and unique place. The place of old salvaged trains and various wagons from the narrow gauge railway leading earlier to the swamps. It was in operation some decades ago. And the trip on a real old Skoda steam locomotive of 1950 was also very exciting. My 7 year old son is delighted with the museum and the display!

Everyone who loves trains should visit this place! The best narrow-gauge railroad museum in Baltics.

what a surprise and wonderful museum of old trains ! definitely worth a detour for a while.

This is very good place to visit if you like trains, if you want to see how trains looked like back then. They have all sorts of different types of trains. Many pictures of old train stations of Estonia. Its child friendly. It is worth to pay €5 for visit. Do check their opening hours. Pity that they do train run only on Saturday tho. But completely understandable. RECOMMEND!

Great place to visit with kids

Fun of trains must like it. Otherwise has a bit forgotten vibes (especially access road). Good day to visit is weekend when vehicles are on the track. There is also inside exposition with many photos.

If you're expecting to see something like the Museum of Transport in York or Stockholm - please don't. But if you're looking for a nice exposition on original historic narrow-gauge railway rolling stock - that's a place to visit. Kept up by volunteers only this museum will be happy to see you and your family. And yes, you can climb almost everythere (except sanitation tanks of course).

Один из немногих сохранившихся музеев узкоколейной ж/д в Прибалтике. Нам очень понравилось, особенно сыну! В некоторые вагоны / паровозы можно забраться внутрь и представить себя пассажиром или машинистом!! Подробная экспозиция в доме-музее тоже познавательна. Также представлено депо для ознакомления.

Чудесный музей железной дороги. Уютное кафе, очень вкусно, по по-домашнему. Паровоз ездит маршрут каждый ровный час. Детям и взрослым - добро пожаловать в ностальгию!
