Perfect location on Elephantine Island. Mohamed is a perfect host, who can arrange trips if you want, and also provide suggestions on what to see and where to eat on the island and in the area in general. The rooms are simple but clean and comfortable, and the breakfast is delicious. It's also a nice place to experience Nubian hospitality, culture, and food.
It's very close to the public ferry to get back to the city centre, but the location on the river makes it a relaxing, peaceful place to stay away from the city as well. We would happily come back here, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Aswan.

I had an amazing time at Nuba Tod guest house! Originally, I booked for just 2 days, but I couldn't resist extending my stay for one more day. This place is spotless, and every morning, I woke up to the soothing sounds of birds and waves. Then, I headed up to the rooftop for my daily dose of yoga.

Let me tell you about the owner, Abouda. He's an absolute gem. As a solo female traveler, I truly appreciated how he'd give me a call to ensure I was safe if I happened to return late at night. It felt like being with family.

We really enjoyed our time staying here! The rooms are very comfortable (clean, AC, good shower, etc) and the wifi is surprisingly good for Egypt (I was able to stream videos easily, not only from our room but even from the nearby restaurants). The owner Mohammad is a very nice man who can help with planning all kinds of activities or even just give information about Nubian customs and culture. When my wife booked this place, I was a little hesitant about staying on the island because I thought it might be inconvenient, but it's actually the best place to stay in Aswan. It's much more peaceful and quiet and there are regular ferries (very close to the hotel) to take you to the mainland for only 10egp per person ($0.30). I can definitely recommend staying here!

The guest house has a lovely location on Elephantine Island with stunning views across the Nile from the roof terrace. It's easy to reach the island by public ferry which runs until about midnight and the guest house is near to the ferry stop. The whole place is extremely clean, the rooms are en-suite, attractive and well equipped. The Nubian style breakfast is tasty. But what makes the stay here most special is the people. Abouda and his family are so welcoming and helpful. They can arrange any trips (felucca sailing excursions, camel trips, visits to the temples, dinner at a Nubian village etc) and readily share stories about Nubian life and culture. I had a great time here!

We stayed there four nights and would definitely recommend this place for anyone going to Aswan. For us, staying on Elephantine island is a must - it is peaceful, quiet, and the Nubian people are all so welcoming.
Abouda is extremely knowledgeable about Aswan and its surroundings, and he can plan any trip or tour you’d wanna do, for a much cheaper price than the big tours. He is also very friendly and we enjoyed our dinner with him spent on the amazing rooftop eating Nubian-style fish together.
Lastly, the rooms are also very nicely decorated and spacious, and have AC.
Overall, we warmly recommend this place and look forward to coming back 💜

Recommended. Mohammed is an excellent and welcoming host, and knows a huge amount about the town and surrounding area. There are beautiful views from the guesthouse and it is in a very peaceful place. The rooms are fresh and clean, and the breakfast is excellent. I had a great stay here.

Our stay was great! The host was very helpful and the room was super confortable. The property is reached easily with the small ferry boat from Luxor and the view from the rooftop is great. The breakfast was delicious and we had overall a great time.

Amazing place. A few minutes walk from the little ferry that goes from in front of KFC. Abouda is a great host, clean room with air con, fan and warm shower. Nice breakfast up on the terrace overlooking the Nile. Perfect first night in Aswan, Egypt

We had a great time at Abouda Guest House. The room was very clean, and the hotel offers a beautiful terrace with the best view of the Nile ever! Also the place has super strong wifi which is great if you need to work while staying in Aswan. I am a digital nomad myself and while traveling throughout Egypt, this was the only place I found with strong and stable wifi. I could work on the terrace and have a great view of the Nile which was a superb experience. Finally mister Mohamed and his brother Emad were great hosts and did everything they could to help us enjoy our stay. We totally recommend it!

We did not stay at the guesthouse, but Mohammed gave us the best advice and information and helped us for a fair price. He was really kind and friendly!

Really nice and helpful hosts, excellent breakfast, amazing view from the rooftop. Air condition and fan work properly; WiFi is quite good. The ferry to Aswan is just one minute away and you have plenty of restaurant options nearby. We highly can recommend the felucca tour around the island with one of the hosts.

A new guesthouse in a beautifully decorated house on Elephant Iland, very close to the nile shore. The owner has wide knowledge of egypt and nubian culture. The rooms are nice and the beds are comfy. I recommend!
