Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici National Park

The park is really magnificent with plenty of great views. There are several options for day hikes. In order to reach some of the hikes you need to use a designated taxi service (from Espot), which can be quite expensive.

Beautiful park with exciting views and challenging hiking trails. We are a family of 6 and our youngest is 4 yo, did the trail from the 2nd drop point back to the first. It took us about 2 hours with several rest stops in the middle.

Beautiful public park. No entry fee or reservation required, just stroll up!

Really lonely park, lots of water with streams going crisscross. Nice high mountains alongside the valley with good view points. The refugio Estany Llong was closed, so no hot coffee this day (strange on a Spanish national holiday). The valley until the refugio is easy going(there is a ramp for wheelchairs in the lower part where the taxis stop, but it's a deadend for wheelchairs, not for hikers).

Amazing! View are incredible! There are signs to find a route. A lake, a waterfall, mountains and 4x4 cars to take ppl up and down. In the closet village there are some bars, coffee shops and hotels. One of best places to spend the weekend with a family! To recover your energy levels.

Amazing and at this time off the year (late April/ early May) we had such nice weather, all streams and lake full and spring animals and flowers are out to enjoy!

Beautiful national park, this is the European version of Yosemite. Very good infrastructure, on their website is a pdf of all the paths in the park. I recommend Espot as a good starting location, drive as far in as you can there is a free parking, then do the easy/medium hike it is very beautiful. Also make sure to visit the lake at the top.

Beautiful easy hike to this mountain lake, we went at end of the day which ads a bit of a warm romantic light. Sun rays passing through the forest canopy, fresh smell of grass, trees and earth as well as sound of cascading water as we walked up and down. A great sensory experience!

Amazing park 100% worth visiting. Big variety of hiking trails for every level. Breathtaking views! A big plus that they have taxi service to bring you back from mountain to parking.

Last year, we were looking for a nice place for a trekking vacation with the kids, saw photos on the web- fell in love with the place. This year we're visiting again. The place is amazing! The mountain views, lakes, and easy walking makes it a beautiful destination!

Amazing national parks! So many trails kept in great condition, I came here in Autumn in early October and the weather was mixed but loved it no matter what!

I travelled along two hikes in the pictures, one being Refugio d'Amitges desde El Estany Saint Maurici and Valley de gerber perifería del P.N. de Aigüestores.

If you can do come in summer/autumn as it is amazing, the colours and wildlife were great to see!

Beautiful spot to go hiking

We did a hike in winter. The solitude was amazing and scenery indescribable.

A very beautiful place!!! The nature, air, purity and sounds of the forest are amazing! A great place to stay.

One of my favourite places to visit in Catalunya, there are spectacular views from the Refugi d'Amitges. (If you like a 3 or 4 hour hike) if you are a bit lazier or you have kids you can also visit the Sant Maurici lake and there is a cool waterfall not far from the lake

Magnificent. I had no idea that the Pyreneese mountains we're this huge and extensive. Beautiful vistas taking the roads northwest from Andorra back into France

Lots of beautiful lakes in the mountains. Wonderful! However, the trails are badly marked.
