It's like 3 hours drive from Addis one should try going early and make sure you visit the museum next door .It is peaceful and scenic too I learnt alot about the church and its history

It is a church and Monastery which is in Debre Libanos city. You can visit the cave where the monks stay away from the outside world. Its one of a must visit places in Ethiopia.✌

Honestly, if you're a tourist and you've seen most of the monasteries in Addis Ababa, it's not especially great. It was a bit of a let down. It was still, of course, beautiful, just not breathtaking.
