Paakarin Pysäkki

We stopped twice at Paakarin Pysäkki and enjoyed Lunch here. They have home-made soups which were delicious, as well as vegan or vegetarian salads which were very tasty, too. The ho e-mode bread was fantastic, as were the pastries. Definitely the best stop between Kokkola and Vuokatti!

Nice place to start your day with a coffee and some breakfast. They have lunch and dinner options which seemed yummy. Everything tried was fresh and tasted excellent. They have a knick-knack gift shop which features mainly Finnish crafts and sweets. Play area for kids under the stairs. Big parking lot for a camper.

Got just what the advertisement promised. A coffee and q donut. Basic Finnish coffee, just the way I like it.

Plus you can go back for more with the coffee! Something you won't get in the alphabet stops.

A very delightful place to stop at! Everything we ate was really good, and the service was immaculate. I also love the little boutique attached to the cafe!

Took a soup, coffee and bun for dessert. I have to say it has been a while since I've eaten this good, fresh bun. Highly recommend! Soup was also good. A traditional finnish minced meat soup, just like mama used to make it.

If you are tourist, this is the most place to visit to understand "Finnish way". They also have bakery for Finnish bread.

Their slogan says that they have the best donuts (munkki) on the road #4, and I couldn't agree more! I fully recommended Paakarin Pysäkki!

It has strong mummola vibes and it has a free-to-play piano in the dining area!

This place has become our standard go-to place on trips through the area!

If you are the type who loves supporting small family owned businesses, this is it.

The baked goods have a homemade feel AND they have pain au Chocolat 😍!

Lovely cafeteria with pleasent service. They bake local traditional bread and other edible stuff. Their giftshop is loaded with goodies and locally produced crafts.
Try something different than ABC and such.

A nice place to chill out when braving Route 4. Their welcoming, homey ambience combined with delicious pastries and quality tea make for a wonderful haven from over-eager BMWs.

Good lunch and delicious cakes. Nice place for a stop on long journey.

What can I say, damn good coffee and bakery.

Viimeinkin pääsin käymään kyseisessä kahvilassa. Aukiolot ovat olleet ohiajajalle huonot, mutta kesäaikaan sunnutai aukiolo mahdollisti pysähdyksen. Todella intiimi ja tunnelmallinen kahvila. Lounasta oli tarjolla, keitto/salaatti löytyi ainakin. Tytär kehui sämpylää parhaaksi ikinä syömäänsä. Palvelu oli ystävällistä. Paljon matkamuistoja ja käsitöitä tarjolla. Wc tilat sijaitsivat ulkorakennuksessa, joita ei käyty testaamassa. Suosittelen vierailemaan kahvilla. 🌺

Idyllinen ja rento lounasravintola, jossa vahvana bravuurina keitot etenkin lohisoppa!
Ohiajomatkalla melkein aina tullut pysähdyttyä lounaalle.

Tunnelma oli lounasaikaan rauhallinen. Keiton tuoksu houkutteli ruokailemaan. Pari pussia pullaa mukaan ja hyvä mieli jäi.

Pitkään ollut pysähdyksen kohteena ja oli erittäin positiivinen yllätys. Osasin odottaa että hyviä leivonnaisia on tarjolla. En osannut odottaa mitä muuta sieltä löytyy. Ystävällisen henkilökunnan kanssa jutustellessa kävi ilmi että hiljalleen kotileipomo on saanut vierelleen runsaan valikoiman lähi- ja kotimaisia matkamuistoja ja hyödykkeitä laajalla skaalalla. Osa on ulkomailta kuten luomutee-valikoimat.
Kaikkea on turha alkaa luettelemaan, kuvista saa jonkinlaisen käsityksen tarjonnasta. Ja mielestäni maltillisella hintatasolla.
Ehdottomasti vierailemisen arvoinen paikka.
