Spa hotel Scandic Aulanko

Only one night but a great time in the spa, nice pools indoor and out, and two different types of saunas. Also a hot steam room - hard to breathe for a few seconds but then great! Nice breakfast but there was limited slices fruit and the bacon was strange - very tasty but unusually big pieces and no fat. The grounds look very nice with the lake and golf course in the background. There is a castle only 3km away and a walkway to get there.

You need to book dinner (evening meal) in advance but all good!

Many years ago visited this place during a team building session, at which time the place left a deep impression on me. In the recent couple of years, I got fascinated with the view-tower in Aulanko. To catch the aurora borealis, we put up in this hotel again this February, as it is so convenient to visit the watch tower from the hotel, Lucky enough we were able to cath the northern lights this time.

This hotel is also located next to the lake and boasts a SPA. Hämeenlinna is also a city with history and ancient stories. It is worthy of a visit.

Ive stayed there for the Congress for few days,
Bus is going directly from railway station.
It was a pleasure to stay there.
Reception speak English but be accurate and slow to be understood.
Breakfast is good. Restaurant is fine with buffet till evening available.
Very nice spa with water pool, sauna, and small pool going to the air. The look is perfect from there!

Family trip with 4 children. Kids loved the swimming pools and adults too! Hotel had busiest day in 15 years and others said never before. We got room a little bit late, but they gave a enourmous discount for the trouble. Also can recommend walking in the close by forest viewing tower and the stone castle are both worth seeing. Actually stuff close to the hotel was more than you can handle in one day, book two or three. Breakfast was awesome and incase you are wondering, YES THEY HAD BACON!

Probably the best recreational place to visit in Hämeenlinna! There's a Spa, Swimming Pool with slides for kids as well as a Sauna. Heaps of recreational activities include a gymnasium, air hockey, table tennis, badminton etc. There's a activity room which has the table tennis table and indoor badminton with only 5€ pp. entrance and unlimited play. Direct entry from the hotel and a cafe amd eating arrangement aswell. Friendly and helpful staff with a clean and modern environment. Will definitely visit again!

An absolute gem. I didn't like it at first because, like many other guests, I am used to modern room decor and amenities. It took a couple of days to take in the unique character that comes with age and history of this place,and appreciate all the effort that's gone into preserving the glory of the era long bygone. It must be incredibly hard to balance the Scandic comfort and functionality with the old-fashioned dignity of the 50s,but somehow the management has delivered- truly admirable and a lesson to many hoteliers out there. Make sure you check out the wonderfully restored 1938 lift, what an awe. Swimming pool is great for kids of all ages, arena under the same roof, gym - great for families. Surroundings are stunning and the view from Aulanko tower is unforgettable. A rare find for the right clientele. Thank you Scandic,great work

Very nice location, quiet, serene views, lots of hiking places around. Food is decent, standard rooms are upper-premium class, flat tv, tablet, big windows, nice furniture, clean and comfortable.

Good Spa , execellent room size and delicious food in the restaurant. Polite staff.

Basic hotel with basic services. Would be good to renovate. Food is better than average.
