Outokumpu Old Mine and Mining Museum

Beautiful mine and awesome tour. Tour guide really knew everything about the mines history and mining universally. Tour was entertaining and took around an hour to complete.

I've reached after the closing hours, therefore I miss the opportunity of inside visit. Instead I took a tour outside and the place is very well conserved and transformed in a touristic attraction. The panoramic view from the base of the tower it offer you, in winter, the opportunity tu use the sloopy stairs, covered in ice and snow, which give you chills in the back.

An interesting place to visit, a copper mine and some good views.

A really nice industrial site and an important part of Finnish industrial history. The tour includes an introductory video and a walk into the tunnels in addition to access to the museum and the tower. Our tour guide had been working in the company in the past and had nice stories to be told from the past. A nice place to visit during a hot summer day. The site has also a nice lunch cafeteria. Warmly recommended.

Was really interesting and big

In summertime a great combination of a mining museum and for kids very nice playground in- and outdoors. So good time for the whole family if you're visiting the area, and for locals a place worth visiting at least once in a season.

I wasn't expecting a much when we visited here, but... The whole area was spectacular! There are so many activities in the very reasonable price. We spend almost the whole day here. Just buy the 'area ticket' and have a great day.

Walk on your own through an abandoned but well kept ore processing plant. Great views from the tower

Lovely mining museum, impressive views from the top of hill & tower, nice playground for kids, disc golf course.

A bit hi price, but the atmosphere of the whole place is really good. Highly recommend!
