Impressive place to visit nature and history at once. This is complex of different buildings and natural places of interests, so you can make a hiking and enjoy it fully. Everything is well-preserved and kept in original view, as it was not destroyed for couple of centuries. They have museum in main house, but you can visit the territory for free without entering museum. Highly recommended!

Really good place to see the rapids and visit the river. We were there a but late so the lodge wasn't open for public anymore (closed at 6pm) but still it was good visit. There are good paths to explore the area on your own and also comprehensive signs that give you good knowledge of the area's history as Tsar's fishing place.

Such a lovely Place. Maybe not worth the 8 EUR to go in but nice to think one is supporting the place with the entrance ticket. Worth a stop!

Oh the view's amazing! There's a distinct weird smell - prolly the fishes, not sure. Haha. But the nature's exquisite enough to make you ignore the smell. It was end of winter when we visited and some parts of the river was still frozen but the rest of the waters were moving so it's very relaxing. Really felt close to nature.

Lovely wooden fishing lodge, in woods with streams running through and views of the river rapids. There is a wooden boat which can be taken from the jetty at the Katariinan Meripuisto and lands you at the jetty at Langinkoski . €12 for return ticket and includes coffee/tea voucher for the cafe at the lodge. Available during summer check online for dates and times www.keisarinvanavedessa.fi

Nice place. The forest surrounding the cabin has been left to natures elements, and feels geniuine and untouched. One can dream of being the Emperor while walking in the forest and enjoying nature.

The cabin and the surrounding buildings and pouring water is an amazing experience.

I took some panorama photographs on old vintage Kodak Panatomic X film with Emperor Franz Josefs old camera from the same time period.

The former residence of the russian tsar Alexander III is one of the most beautiful places in Finland! Being surrounded by spectacular forests, lakes and rivers, the hole place creates a great atmosphere.
I strongly recommend everyone to visit this place.

Beautiful setting. The lodge is now a museum & gift shop. The lodge and grounds are well maintained. You can almost see the royal family relaxing on the veranda while listening to the rushing rapids below. Definitely worth a visit.

Intricate woodwork, beautiful rooms, great to spend day or night and a river that fishermen love. Tsar Alexander was a happy man there.

Nice peaceful city park area with a cafe. Good for a stop if driving by Kotka and don't want to venture deeper into the city.
