Wonderful wee seafood restaurant. Highly recommended. Lovely food, an engaging serving staff. I had the special - sea bream.

Wow, what a fabulous quirky little place this is! Food was fantastic, (even though it took me ages to get the crab out the shell) the cocktails were beautiful, the place itself was really warm & welcoming, loved it. The waiter was lovely & nothing was a bit of bother. Places like this deserve to get the great feedback they deserve. If you haven’t already, you have to try this place!

I booked Jaspers for myself and a guest on the 22nd. We were greeted within a minute and seated. The decor was cute and comfortable.

We ordered drinks which included a Lychee cocktail which was perfect.

The starters were brought out in around 10 minutes and we had the pan fried squid and the langoustines.

These dishes were very very good. The sauce with the squid was excellent and the langoustines were numerous and juicy.

For the mains we had a whole sea bream and Linguine. The portion size was more than enough and the fish was meaty but not dry and the sea food with the linguine was plentiful and varied.

Throughout the meal the service was attentive, polite and swift.

In totality I would say that Jaspers was worthy of a 5* review and was a delightful surprise.

Fantastic proper seafood restaurant. It's a tiny venue but had a lovely atmosphere. Food was brilliant and the waiter/barman was really attentive.

We went with a 1 and a 3 year old and they called ahead to let us know they didn't have a high chair because of how small the place is (which was fine with us but something to be aware of for tiny ones) they were also very polite and patient as the kids wanted to watch everything that was going on.

I took my family to Jaspers for the first time on Sunday evening, and I would 100% return next time we’re in the area. We ate a variety of seafood and meats between us and the food was delicious! I had the seafood linguine which was very tasty, but also light and fresh. The atmosphere in the restaurant was wonderful, the restaurant has a real warmth about it. The waiter was very attentive, polite and made the experience perfection so thank you! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Absolutely fabulous. The food is amazing mussels, squid, lobster and langoustines, all freshly cooked, the service super and the atmosphere calm and unhurried. Highly recommend ‘Jaspers’. Thank you Connor and Ryan the chef.

Amazing experience at Jaspers. As soon as you entered you knew you were in for a seafood extravaganza and we were right. So much choice of beautiful, fresh seafood and great ambience. The service was excellent, staff were friendly and offered lots of advice on the choices. I had the oysters, chilli garlic prawns and seafood risotto. Words can't describe how good it was, definitely food for the soul and made my heart sing.❤

On a bit of a Uk tour we stumbled across amble and ended up eating here. The service was incredible and the food was amazing. Brilliant interior. Some of the freshest food I’ve ever had. Best meal I’ve had in years. They even included some food for the dog (see picture)

The fish oriented menu was varied and really looked great

The food when it arrived was well presented and very tasty especially the lobster.

The 2 owners were friendly ,efficient and very professional.

This was a return visit for us and it didn't disappoint. Great ambience, amazing food and superb service. It's clear to see that Ryan and his team love what they do and their dedication shines all the way through in every aspect. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left they couldn't have done any more for us. I was driving so didn't get a chance to sample their growing whisky collection. Perhaps next time😉. A relaxing, comfortable restaurant with fantastic, friendly and professional service as well as incredible food. We went all out and had 3 courses with an array of fish and meat dishes. All the fish was cooked to perfection from the grilled sardines to the fish loaded pie that I'll be thinking about for some time. The flavours were balanced, the portions were generous and the variety was impressive for a small restaurant. We had a ball and will definitely be returning. This is a magical place, tell your friends!

We visited tonight, what can I say... But amazing! Friendly attentive service and fabulous food. We had two well behaved dogs with us who were made to feel very welcome too, the homemade dog biscuits were an added bonus. The chef owner came to talk to us on our departure. Overall one of the best seafood restaurants I have visited. We will be back. Thank you.

Mostly 5 stars, so we booked. And by golly were we pleased.At the moment phone to book. The food is cooked freshly, by the chef/owner. Very light, Mediterranean style cooking - no chips! Recommend you only come if you appreciate fresh food, well cooked.
It felt that we were having a private dining experience, along with the other diners.
Will be returning - often
Amble is very lucky to have this little gem.
Worth travelling for, so do so!

Cannot rate this place highly enough. Visited recently for a special birthday and can honestly say I have never been to a better fish restaurant ever. It' s only a small Bistro with 4 tables but the food- OMG - absolutely delicious 😋. I had the best Fish Pie ever and my husband had the lobster - caught the same day for mains. Starters were the Sardines and Chicken Livers- again delicious. It' s not a cheap night out but definitely worth every penny. Staff and the Chef are great and happy to explain and falk through the menus. Without a doubt we will be back.

A very cosy intimate atmosphere. First class attention from the friendly welcoming staff. The menu was extensive and the specials board offered some really excellent ideas. The seafood dishes were superb. Well cooked, and well presented. Definitely worth a visit. Thank you Connor, Melanie and all.

The food was first class, the service was fantastic and made for a wonderful seafood experience!

Jaspers were also very accommodating in helping arrange a surprise meal for us.

Fabulous fabulous meal.

Went for a birthday meal with wife and 2 kids, aged 5 and 9. The bistro is tiny, but beautiful and serves fabulous food.

Highlights:
The Bouillabaisse is exceptional- absolutely delicious. This is a dish that can either be full of flavour and we'll balanced or something inedible. This was perfect

Lobster- clearly fresh with beautiful chips, much recommended

Curried Sra Bream- just YUMM!

Our 5 year old still struggles with complicated flavours and they made him a simple home made pasta dish which was just lovely.

It's clear that there is a huge amount of passion and love in this restaurant and it shines through in both the fod and service. They clearly have no interest in being the biggest l, but they did produce some of the finest fish dishes I've ever had.

Recommended without hesitation- truly exceptional.

Cosy, warm atmosphere, absolutely wonderful food and excellent service, but not pretentious. Worth every penny, Book in advance.

What an absolutely superb restaurant. The food was possibly the best seafood we have ever had (from anywhere in the world), whilst the service and welcome was top class too. Highly recommended. I have added pictures of the fish pie and curried sea-bass...delicious!
