Very friendly staff and lovely hot steak bakes and cakes

Thanks Wendy a great store with a brilliant selection of food stuffs. You can by gluten free bread and biscuits there, also oat and soya milk. The coffee from the take away machine was excellent. Say high to Teddy and Star, we will be back next year.

You will always get a warm welcome here. Run by Wendy & Chris, with help from Vanessa, nothing is too much for them. Good selection of local meats, jams and cakes as well as the usual supermarket fare. There's also locally made jewelry and cards. It's a small store with a Post Office inside. Jump in when you're passing and say hello.

Excellent shop, filled with different produce and catering towards vegan/vegetarian. The lady with her dogs in the shop is so friendly and welcoming, and we always get a little cuddle from the dogs while we are there!

A great local store that carries just about everything you might need. From fresh fruit and vegetables to chilled meats and dairy goods. Many other items are available with newspapers, magazines and even a book club. The shop also holds a post office which is another asset. The residents of Seil are very fortunate to have this amenity along with the many tourists that visit this beautiful island.

Love this place! Plenty of choice for such a small shop, mainly catering for the holiday crowd, however indispensable for the locals as well. Open late and on Sunday, no need to go hungry even if you'd forgot to do your food shopping on the mainland

Fabulous! So much you might want and need all under one roof, with post office counter and the friendliest service, not to mention tons of great local produce - yummy eggs, delicious meats, tasty loaves and baking to die for (and come back for!) Spot on, thank you!

Five Star? Yes, for a remote convenience store this place is amazing, it not only has everything you could need in the way of provisions, it also features really high quality local produce, most notable from my point of view being the fresh & smoked fish and seafood from Alba Seafood in Kilmore, near Oban. We're staying in a self catering nearby and this evenings meal was entirely sourced from this little store, massive Salmon fillets, oven baked with The Puffer, Chilie Jam, made on Easdale island a couple of miles away, accompanied be garlic sautéed potatoes & Vichy carrots, less than a tenner for two of us. If you're looking for Aldi prices this ain't it but if like us, you like great food and like to support local businesses, you'll love this place. Even under the current difficult COVID-19 restrictions, they were welcoming and helpful. They're licenced so you can get the wine to go with the meal, I even bought a local ordnance survey map there, to plan the next day's walks.

For a wee shop in a wee place it's well stocked , with fresh and hot food available , and goid opening hours. Bagged myself 9 Peter May books in the charity section. Result

Well stocked island shop

store is well stocked with everything you need. there is a nice selection of local ales and other wines and spirits. there is also a post office here too.

Great little store. We used it while on holiday for shopping top ups and it was also handy for fresh sandwiches and coffee to go.

Nice little shop we visited quite often when we were staying on easdale island, great selection of general food and drink and even some baking for sale.

When staying in the area this shop provides all of your food needs. Friendly, welcoming owners and lots of locally produced eggs, meat fish etc.

Friendly small store just before the Cuan Ferry and Cairsag Cave Airbnb that has plenty of supplies for anything you've forgotten or need. It has a postal box and is also a bus stop on the 418 to Oban and back.

Get everything you need for a stay on Seil and the slate islands at this excellent local store. Local meats, eggs and baking are all highly recommended and there's a Post Office counter too. The friendly staff are full of local information. If you're visiting Seil don't miss Balvicar stores.
