Lovely golf club and a lovely course

Course in superb condition it is a tree lined course but does not spoil your game as 10 times out ot ten you can play out therefore keeping your score intact no hills etc so easy walking.Food excellent and plenty on your plate an reasonable for cost

Course was in excellent condition we thoroughly enjoyed our game, staff and members made us very welcome.
We came back for meal at night again beautiful meal.The weather was also good.x

First time I've played Alford. Very impressive. Lovely day and the course was in terrific condition. I really, really enjoyed it. Only slight draw back was two old fellas who were playing extremely slowly and when given several opportunities to allow us to play through, decided not to. Very bad form indeed. They left after 9 holes, much to our relief. After our round we had a pint and a sandwich in the clubhouse and were served by very pleasant staff. The clubhouse and toilets were spotless. All in all (the two old codgers apart) an extremely enjoyable days golf. Will certainly be heading across from Stonehaven again.

First time playing Alford in about 8 years and couldn't believe how good the course was looking. It's a great course and the green keeping staff have obviously been doing a great job keeping it in such a great condition.

Golfers course with testing holes and small greens. Takes a bit of navigating the 18 holes but worth the effort. Lush fairways and greens with subtle borro.

Public lounge recently refurbished to high standard good food but I did miss their old fish and chips

Fantastic parkland course always in top condition, quite wide open and forgiving if you stray offline on most of the holes, would definitely recommend.

Excellent Christmas lunch provided today for Millbank Ramblers group. Food was lovely, service very good. Very enjoyable

I absolutely loved this course because i always played well here. I remember 1 particular time I was here with my mate Ian who had just secured a full time job in the granite city. I was playing the game of my life and we came to the 11 hole. I was +3 but my mate who was playing off +15 was only 1 shot behind me! I couldn't believe it because I was nailing every shot but he seemed to be better! I even checked his clubs and balls at 1 point to make sure he wasn't cheating haha!
Anyway at the 11th I bottled it and hooked my drive into the bunker off right of the fairway! I ended up with a double bogey but my mate was amazing and played the round of his life and eagled the hole!!!
I couldn't believe it (and tbh I never gave him the praise he deserved) because this wee burd golfer who was teeing off behind us (who was taking lessons) seen my mates eagle and started thinking the sun shone out his arse! Well this just started making him play better and me playing shite're!
Anyway to cut a long story short he ended up marrying her and they have a beautiful family now and it's all because I bottled it on the 11th!

Plus it's £2.75 a pint (for members)

Excellent menu in clubhouse covering all taste's-quality food to match rounded up with excellent service & friendly staff
