Please do yourself a favor and disregard any negative reviews you may come accross regarding this hotel. We had an amazing stayed here. The entire staff (receptionist, restaurant, room service and guides) are all amazing people trying to accommodate all of the hotel guests. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and plenty of hot water never an issue. Being right inside the park is a great advantage. Restaurant meals were all fresh and delicious. Would definitely stay here again while exploring Tikal Park. This review could keep going and going with positive comments. Buy your park tickets from the parks website and pay for the tour guide at the hotel to avoid delays for your tours. Amazing experience.

This was an excellent choice to explore Tikal :

The hotel is inside the park and it takes about 20-30 min walk to the main ruins. From here is easier to do the sunrise or sunset tour .

* The staff service was outstanding, they are super accommodating, kind and very respectful.

* the receptionists, waiting staff and I general staff was vey friendly, and they always tried their best when serving food or drinks.

* recommend the guided tour private with Fernando Madrid , he is got plenty of knowledge this was one of the highlights of our tour as he took his time to explain and answer our question’s regarding all the Mayan World .

* for bird photography in temple two after 2:30 climb the ladder and in the middle there the birds come to feed after the the big groups of ppl are leaving between 2-3 pm.

* at 3 pm can also see the monkeys coming down to drink some water In the plaza where the toilets are .

* All the hotel areas are well kept and in very good and clean condition. Including the swimming pool that is very refreshing after a day in the jungle. Some leaves fall in the pool but they can’t clean them every 5 min is not dirty is just surrounded by trees and it’s almost impossible to keep it clean 24/7.

* the rooms are spacious, good ventilation, comfortable beds and spacious bathrooms with high shower pressure , soap , conditioner, shampoo and body lotion.
They also have mosquitoes nets

* Food at breakfast , lunch or dinner was always freshly prepared and very delicious. The breakfast is served quick and the tortillas were very tasty and soft. Coffee is offered through the breakfast with refills and they also have huge fruit juices.

* check out for other daily tours to nearby ruins as you can spend the night here and it is closer from the hotel than from Flores .

In Flores they own , hotel isla de Flores and we liked it too. Very clean excellent location.

Tikal is so much better if visited from within the forest. Jungle Tikal Lodge is one of two lodges inside Tikal forest. The location is absolutely beautiful, the lodge is very tastefully done and the room is fantastic. For the room I occupied, the bathroom was shared but that was not an issue as these were clean and there were several of them, hence never had to wait. The staff is exceptionally good, and helpful. They arrange for pick up from Isla Flores hotel in Flores center and for a shuttle to Flores bus stop or to Isla Flores on the return at a reasonable cost. They also provide morning, afternoon and evening tours to Tikal forest at USD 15 per tour per person, and this is arranged exclusively for their guests. I joined all the three of these and there were very few overlaps as they cover a different area in Tikal forest each time. The only improvement point would be -please improve your menu to have a section for vegan food. Right now it is included within the main menu and there are negligible options. I survived mainly on food and fruits I had carried from Flores. They do not permit use of their kitchen by guests and there are limited vegan food options within Tikal forest, hence Tikal Lodge needs to step up on this front. Also note that there are power cuts (apparently mandated by Government authorities) I was there early March and it was manageable for me.

Overall, I enjoyed my stay and staying in Tikal Lodge enhanced my experience of visiting Tikal forest.

We had a great time in the jungle lodge "hostal"-rooms. They are very clean and quite cheap compared to what's offered in Tikal. The jungle lodge site is nice with lots of nature (we could see spider- and howler monkeys, coatis, birds and agoutis). The pool is nice could use some renovations however. The food was fine, the staff was very professional and friendly. It's only a three minute walk from the Tikal site entrance. We booked the sunrise tour with the jungle lodge as well. They provided a coffee and a cookie for free to wake us up before heading to the temple 4. Our guide was alright but it was great to see the Tikal area still completely in the dark.

Lights out at 11 pm!

This is the place to stay if you want to get some additional sleep in the morning as it is steps away from the Tikal entrance. They have a restaurant, pool, bar and a few indoor games (snooker, hand football etc.)
They do accept credit cards, and run hot showers.
The power is not available 24 hours, but available at the right times (5 to 8am, 1 to 3pm, 5 to 11pm). Please don't quote me on this, and do check at the reception on the latest.

Great hotel in the middle of the Tikal jungle. The hotel has lovely shared and private accommodation bungalosin in the middle of the jungle, where you can hear and see the birds and monkeys. There is also a nice swimming pool area and a games and TV room where they organise cinema nights. This is the perfect place to stay when visiting the Tikal site to make sure you make the most of it.

The only criticism we had is that the restaurant and bar were disappointing. There aren't any other options around so we were grateful to have a restaurant and bar on site, but their quality didn't match that of the rest of the establishment.

Awesome setting in the middle of Tikal National Park. Did a tour from there that was so awesome. Heard and saw howler monkeys, spider monkeys , and a large variety of other jungle creatures and birds.

A great hotel to stay at when visiting Tikal National Park. Being within easy walking distance from the ruins, you cannot beat the location or convenience.

Our room and beds were very clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and spoke English well. The grounds are beautiful and being in the middle of a jungle means you can expect to see wildlife every day.

The reception area looks like a giant tiki-hut and is open to allow the air and sounds of the jungle to come in - very cool! There is a pool and foosball table which is fun way to spend some time relaxing in the evenings. The on-site restaurant and bars are very good and affordable.

The only criticism is the pool needs some work but otherwise it was a great place to cool off after a long-day of exploring the ruins. There is no AC and power is limited to certain parts of the day but that did not bother us at all.

Beautiful hotel and rooms, loved being walking distance to Tikal. The food at the restaurant was excellent as well. We enjoyed hearing all the sounds of the animals in the jungle. We went to bed relatively early every night so had no experience with any power outages.

Stayed in the hostel portion of the property. 2 x single beds with a shared bathroom. Hotel is incredible. Great staff. Plenty of memorabilia from the 1956 expedition. Restaurant has good food. Prices not too exorbitant. Wifi is very slow so don’t come needing it for any real purpose. Thoroughly enjoyed our 2 nights and were sad to leave…

My husband and I loved staying at the Jungle Lodge! We booked a suite which was extremely nice and really added to the atmosphere of staying in the jungle. The staff were so patient and helpful despite our challenges communicating with our limited Spanish. We did the sunset tour with their guide, Cesar, who was a fantastic tour guide who made our experience even more memorable and unique. The location of the hotel is perfect and we got to see some wildlife up close right on the property. Highly recommend staying here!

We had the best time. We booked into the hostel and although it was shared bathrooms the bathrooms were still extremely good quality! The food at the restaurant was superb and the service across the whole place was great. We also booked a couple of tours, the mighty tour which was 4 hours around the ruins during the day and the sunset tour. Both of which have my partner and I memories that will live with us forever.

The Hotel is awesome! The sounds of the animals is an other experience, the food service and hygiene are perfect awesome 100% the price are good for the quality of the hotel and the food price also. The only thing that is not 100% perfekt is the pool. But this hotel make the people disconnect from the daily routine. Perfect get way in the jungle

We stayed at Tikal hotel as it was a bit cheaper. Howeve, we ate breakfast here, used their shuttle services and did the subset tour.
Fernando on the sunset tour was great. He knew alot of history. Unfortunately there isn't alot of info on the pyramids themselves and so much is still unknown.
The breakfast was great. Complimentary juice , coffee and bread. but expect to wait a while for breakfast... Our order was also put in wrong.

The location is unbeatable, just a couple of minutes to the archaeological site entrance. The rooms are very comfortable and updated, also very clean. The fan worked at all times but was noisy. I didn't turn it on on the second night and it was actually fine as the windows have only screens which allow the cool air come through from outside. The shower was good, with sufficient hot water. Saw and heard both the howlers and spider monkeys within the hotel grounds. Wi-fi (slow) was available at the reception building but not in the room. A torch/headlamp would be very handy, especially if getting up and ready for the sunrise walk in the park as it's pitch dark at night both in the room and outside. The only negative for me was that the bar served coffee with a Coffee Mate sachet instead of proper milk and the coffee itself was not good.

The airport shuttle run by the lodge is great and reasonably priced at USD20 return or USD 15 one way. unfortunately their return schedule didn't suit so I had to take a 6:30am colectivo (50 quetsales) which was fine and although it did make many stops it took 1 hour and 10 minutes to the airport. The colectivo stops at the round information desk near the car park.

It was an excellent experience staying here. It’s Guatemalan owned and operated by the daughter of the original owner who was in the bubble gum exporting business. The staff is friendly and it’s an excellent location to explore the multiple sites. They do schedule power outages but it’s not as bad as it sounds. Since they don’t use power from the city and use generators it is great to conserve energy. There is no WiFi in the rooms which I appreciate but there is okay WiFi in the community area and pool. Also, there is warm water for showering so don’t expect scorching hot water but the private outside hot tub is very hot and lovely. If you are not used to warm showers you can run from the hot tub to the shower if you need to take a comfortable shower. I will definitely return and I highly recommend the private suite. I’ve been exploring Tikal since the early 2000s and there’s never enough time to explore.

We stayed in the hostel and it was very nice! It was hotel quality, but there just wasn't a bathroom inside the room. We loved being immersed in the jungle and all of the nature sounds around us.

The connected restaurant was great quality and convenient. We enjoyed the pool as well.

They offer transport to and from the airport.

We loved the place.
