Mirador De Santa Catarina

This is a very fine overlook, or “mirador”, not a hotel. Terrific place for sunset watching. When I was here the haze rendered the volcano invisible but the view of the harbor at Panajachel was splendid, especially when backlit by the sunset.

We saw this lookout point on our way out from Panajachel and we are so happy we stopped. What an amazing vantage point to take in the lake, volcanoes and surrounding scenery. Guatemala continued to surprise me with its beauty and charm including cool little spots like this. I can't wait to go back!

It takes around 20-30 mins to walk up but is definitely worth it. You get a view of Pana and the Lake. It’s gorgeous for sunsets and sunrises as well. If you walk around 6am-8am and 4-6pm, you will encouter a few runners and people walking dogs as well.

Se tarda entre 20 y 30 minutos en subir, pero definitivamente vale la pena. Tienes una vista de Pana y el lago. También es hermoso para los atardeceres y amaneceres. Si camina entre las 6-8am y las 4 a 6 p. m., también encontrará algunos corredores y personas paseando perros.

El lugar es excelente para admirar la belleza del lago más hermoso del mundo. National Geographic Endiosado y adorado, el lago de Atitlán atrae en Guatemala a poetas, pensadores y turistas. Muchos de quienes lo han visitado decidieron trasladar su residencia allí, y el escritor británico Aldous Huxley lo describió como ?el más bello del mundo?. Este mirador es pequeño pero es otro punto para poder tomar fotos y disfrutar del paisaje. Favor de tomar en cuenta que no hay baños ni un lugar donde comprar bebidas oh comida.

Muy bien ubicado, no tan concurrido por turistas pero tiene una vista espectacular, muy segura para cualquier hora del día, lugar apto para ir con niños y adultos mayores.

El mirador es muy bello! A 3 km de Panajachel, muy lindo para verlo.
