Six of us stayed two nights and had a great experience. The rooms were clean, the restaurant had an extensive menu and served great food, the shuttle to and from the airport in Flores was extremely convenient and it's only a few minutes walk to the entrance to Tikal. Overall, a fantastic stay.

This hotel is very basic. But we are literally in the middle of the jungle. So some things just aren't possible. But the price of the room, and the food at their restaurant were very reasonable considering we are literally in the Tikal park.

This was a great stay overall. Staff is very attentive and always pleasant. Rooms are very good considering the remote jungle location. Reastraunt is also very good and one of two in the area. Worth the stay.

I will try to separate my excitement for Tikal from this review (though I understand this place plays an inextricable role in the history and structure of Tikal and the tours of it). Ricardo picked us up personally from the airport after our flight delayed until nearly 9PM. His storytelling had a poetic nature and we learned so much about the area and his forest conservation efforts. We were tired and did not realize he was one of the owners (🤦🏼‍♂). The nature of running an ecolodge deep in the Guatemalan jungle means there are going to be some limitations on power. You’d have to sacrifice much of the immersive experience if you wanted a Ritz Carlton out here. I believe this is the only lodge with free internet and it was just as fast as much of the wifi in Antigua. We awoke to howler monkeys so maybe bring earplugs if you go to sleep late. As the sun comes out you are greeted with beautiful birds and BABY CAPYBARAS running through the yard. The pool area is beautiful and could be ripped straight from some Caribbean resort. A great place to relax in between your jungle/ruin exploration. The food was actually great and the fruit juices were some of the best drinks I’ve ever had (although I do believe if you are exploring Tikal with the right intensity even stale crackers would suffice). The produce was all very fresh. Many of the wait staff are younger but they are very accommodating. Get the sunrise and sunset tour through them (which I also believe was at least partly their creation), it’s the best priced. Nixon was an amazing tour guide who’s passion for archaeology and mayan culture was apparent while still keeping the tour very light and fun. After exploring as many nooks and crannies of the Tikal complex (way bigger than you could expect) we made our way back to Flores, again riding Ricardo, again very amused by his storied and knowledge. If he had a radio show or podcast, I would be a daily listener. Ask him about his conservation work, seriously.

We will be back. I can’t wait to see what more they will have discovered/excavated.

It is a wonderful hotel at the most perfect location. We travelled there at the beginning of June, so it was off tourist time in Guatemala, and we almost had the place to ourselves (or so it felt). The service was wonderful, all so clean and the pool lovely. The best part was though our tour through Tikal, with the most knowledgeable guide I think I've met. Highly recommend this hotel and the tour. Thank you!

Staying at Tikal Inn is worth it if you’re exploring Tikal.
The energy service is limited in the social areas, if you’re staying at the bungalows you can use basic electricity all day (charging your phone, turning on the lights, using the fan).
There’s no phone reception and the WiFi only works in the social areas.

A truly lovely place to stay right near the ruins of Tikal. Wildlife comes up and wanders around the grounds of the hotel. At night, you are surrounded by the sounds of the jungle. Because it is within the national park, electricity is limited to a few hours during the day. It means that you get a dark sky to view the stars at night. Just 2 minutes walk into Tikal. Staff is very helpful and friendly. The restaurant is great, too.

I loved the location, the friendly staff, the pool, the restaurant, the 24-hour hot water, the 24-hour free wifi (in the lobby), the acceptance of credit cards, and having electricity available for three 2-3 hour periods per day.

It was so nice getting to chat with the staff and owner(?). The pool is the perfect temperature. Lastly, having intermittent electricity and no air conditioning was surprising not a problem.

The only issue experienced was that their fresh water filter was not working. I was able to refill my bottle from another hotel however.

Very cool and unique experience in the middle of the jungle. Lovely bungalows with hot water, large pool plus friendly and helpful staff. You can hear and see the animals around the place which is cool. Service was beyond expectation! Highly recommend this hotel. There is a schedule for electricity. Make sure you charge your devices before arrival there.

DO NOT LOOK ANY FURTHER

Usually I never write review, but this was an amazing experience.

Drowning in the world of tours to Tikal I saw a few sites mentioning Tikal Inn, so I decided to contact them directly. They have been amazing so far. Contact by email was fast and clear, and I booked a sunset and sunrise tour with them. Overall, they have arranged the transfer, both tours and transfer back to the busstation for us and it was a bliss. The tourguide was amazing, the pool is great and the staff very friendly.

They mention clearly on the website that there no power during the day, I don’t see why anybody would give them 1 star for it.

Amazing place, amazing owners.
We even ran into some problems at the entrance of the park (not the fault of Tikal Inn) but they still handled it perfectly.

A perfect hotel inside the park, convinent to visit the Mayan site. The staff were very friendly, and provided us with information on how we could best spend our 2 days here. The kitchen provided tasty meals.....
The power off times are bit of an inconvience, but really not problem....bring a small flashlight.

Very cool and unique experience in the middle of the jungle. Lovely bungalows with hot water, large pool plus friendly and helpful staff. You can hear and see the animals around the place which is cool. I forgot my earings to the hotel and we were already on the way to Flores when the hostess drove after us and gave my jewellery back. Service was beyond expectation! Highly recommend this hotel!

Perfect stay. They received us late at night and were able to buy our tickets for the archeological site for the sunrise and day, and sent a car to pick us up in Flores. We were able to contact them calling to the phone number that appears in their website. The rooms are nice with hot water. They turn off lights at night and you can hear the jungle.

Located at the entrance of Tikal Park, this hotel offers great accomodations for your Tikal adventure. Surrounded by lush greenery and wildlife, Tikal Inn also features a restaurant and pool. The food is good, but the outdoor restaurant near the park entrance is preferable for my tastes. The remote nature of the place dictates that the electric service switches off over night. WiFi is available at the front lobby only.

Fantastic value for a once in a lifetime experience. This family owned hotel is an ecolodge located right in the Tikal ruins. Because of the jungle location, electricity, hot water, and wifi are not readily available 24/7, but the experience is well worth it. Fantastic swimming pool, thatched bungalow rooms, and sleeping among the sounds of the jungle at night is epic. Much better and way cheaper than staying in Flores and paying for a 'tour'. (pro-tip: I emailed the hotel directly and got a better rate than booking online.)

Great location close to park for a fair price. pool is amazing for cooling down in the middle of the day and we saw numerous animals from the pool area. Staff was really nice and would even come get people when they saw animals. Shoutout to Carlos for being great! Thanks for making our stay in the national park special

Really amazing food and a lovely pool. The staff is friendly and helpful. No wifi except between 6-9pm, but that's the jungle life! You can walk to Tikal in a minute.

Such an amazing stay in the middle of the jungle! We could observe so many animals right from the hotel. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. We will definetly stay there again.

Loved our stay here! My favourite part of my 29 day stay in Guatemala was staying here! Keep in mind that there is limited electricity, hot water and wifi but for me, that's what made it a great experience! (Bring a flashlight or use you're phone if you're concerned about walking to the bathroom at night...it's dark duh.)
You're in jungle with all the animals sounds and plenty of animal visitors lol.
