Kaq’ik de pollo y res and the Pepian de Pollo were out of this world, I’m talkin’ Michelin restaurant level dishes. So so so good. It’s not shown in the pictures, however I did have La Nancy, which was a hibiscus lemon iced tea… one of the best aguas de Jamaica I’ve had, very refreshing! El Santiago’s chicken was maybe a bit on the drier side and a bit bland, but the cheese topping was very flavorful and gave it a bit of a leg up. My boyfriend also loved the sautéed veggies that came with it and he’s not one to love veggies. They were soft, yet crunchy, peppery and tasted very fresh! He also loved the bread it came with as a side item, we’re unsure what type it was but he wanted more! 10/10, would recommend, definitely coming back on our next trip to Pana.
p.s. they’re doing amazing things for the community of Santa Cruz! Be sure to check out the little shop at the bottom of the restaurant!

The best option to eat in lake atlitlan, the food is amazing, also the people. The people who work there we’re in a classes of cooking and also client service, so everything is 10/10. The food is local and the ingredients are fresh and clean. Try the fresh cheese and the carrot cake. Also the ice cream of chocolate, is one of the best.

Place offers a great view of the volcanoes and lake. The horchata here tastes like horchata flavored water. This place can get busy as it offers free Starlink wifi and is one of the more popular places. When is here, someone in the kitchen kept playing Jay-z's New York song on repeat. Overall a nice place but nothing spectacular. There's a bathroom here with a normal sized toilet that's American standard.

Gorgeous views and delicious food! I have celiac and the kitchen staff confirmed that the desayuno sabor cruceño was completely gluten free and safe. Fresh tortillas were fantastic! Also enjoyed a variety of fruit smoothies.

This was my favorite meal in Santa Cruz. Service was the best too. I got the vegetarian fajitas (came with lots of guacamole) and they were soooooo good. Loved the lemonade too. Gorgeous view as well. Only a Q10 tuktuk ride up if you don’t want to do the steep walk. Don’t miss this spot!

Great view of the town and the volcanos. fantastic food and smoothies! Has the only atm in town too. Got the "2 meats soup" I believe and it was delicious.

Delicious food, outstanding view, fair prices and the cherry on top is that you'll be paying for a good cause. Highly recommend! They even sell local crafts such as homemade peanut butter, scarves and bags

Delicious food, excellent service, and great views from the patio! I had the vegan pepian - a traditional local dish I’ve been trying to find without meat, was very flavorful! Will be back!

This place is part of an NGO which exist to help and develop Santa Cruz, and the restaurant is manned by students who are training to become chefs.
Eating or drinking here will directly support the NGO and the school, so DO IT.
The food is great, the view is fantastic and you find real peace here.
I had a local and traditional dish called Pepián. See photos.
The prices are good here!

We loved this place and the work they do to give Guatemalans training and a future. The food was excellent and we booked the cookery course for the next day which was super and we got to eat the results in the restaurant. Downstairs the craft work was taking place and we bought some from the shop. Take a tutuk up the hill for 10q each and walk back down. Lovely people, great community coop.

Lovely cafe with incredible view , delicious food and great service. Up a super steep hill from the dock but the walk really gets your appetite up. Have been here a couple of times and both times loved the attentive and super sweet staff, yum and good quality food all while taking it in with a breathtaking view. Will come back. Thank you team.

Breathtaking view and BEST food around the lake Atitlán!
It’s also run by an amazing nonprofit organization involved in helping the local indigenous communities through education and women economic empowerment. Don’t miss the local shop which is also run by the same NGO!

My boyfriend and I just took a private cooking class with Alfredo- we cannot recommend the experience highly enough!
Alfredo walked us through tamalitos (small tamales), pepián stew, and a chocolate plantain dessert. He was incredibly patient, while letting us do most of the cooking hands-on.
After the hour and a half class, we got to sit on the gorgeous patio overlooking the lake and eat the (gorgeously plated) meal we'd just made.
If you have the time to come to Santa Cruz, this is one of the best experiences you could have.

Fantastic brunch. I dont like eggs so they let me swap the ommlette for a quesadilla with veggies. The beans and plantains and corn tortillas were out of this world. Seriously best breakfast tacos ever. Smoothie tasted fresh and not too sweet which was perfect.

Central to Santa Cruz (or a short tuktuk ride up the hill) this cafe has friendly staff, great food, and a fabulous view. It’s also part of a wonderful project in Santa Cruz built to enrich the lives of locals. There’s a store of cool crafts downstairs (and an atm) that you have to pass through to get to the cafe stairs, anyhow.
Two meat stew was delicious- all the others in my group gave rave review of their dishes as well.

This is a fantastic place where the chefs are culinary school graduates. Very good food, wonderful views over Santa Cruz and the lake. Staff were friendly, it’s a bit of a walk uphill but certainly worth it.
