Tegucigalpa Central Park

Tegucigalpa only God's love can change , be strong, faithful, trust Lord love Honduras.

I was surprised the mayor us taking action to keep the city clean. I saw cleaning crews every morning cleaning the Streets I just wished the citizens would "put the trash in the containers" provided rather than throwing the trash on the streets. The sanitation department can only do so much. Walking down the "Peatonal" (about a quarter mile stretch of stores you will find a wide assortment of things for sale (I think they only allow them on the weekends) and stores, banks, coffee shops, retails, museums, churches and other historical sites as well as attorneys, hardware stores and many other things. This is a popular place for people to come and purchase stuff because it's cheaper than the malls and you can score good bargains. You can also attend mass, eat at the local food market (in front of the Dolores Church) take buses and taxis to different places, Etc. Central Park is one of the oldest in Tegucigalpa with many things to see. If you come to Tegucigalpa you must come here! (Don't come too late at night as there is no officers at night and I could be a scary place to be at night)

Nice place just to walk around and observe the locals. I went in the day time.

This plaza exist since 1578. Please stop by to check old Spanish city.

Beautiful old square in the middle of the historic city. Lovely cathedral on site and plenty of ice cream.

It's a place where you con observe part of the history of the city, it's a place with great churches, old buildings, as well as bridge, you can see nice people coming and going. Interesting place.

Beautiful Cathedral

A very colorful place, where you can find all types of people.

In downtown Tegucigalpa, high trees share a shadow and cool down the heat, people sitting on cement Benches chatting, preacher sharing Bible class, birds singing, and noises of cars circulating on a busy street. Connected by a walking street that runs from east to west and will take you from the cathedral all the way through the downtown area up to Mail Office and a museum

The best place to change money. Awesome statue of the national Hero Francisco Morazán.

Sit there for a couple of hours and you have material enough ti write a book. It is the scent of Tegucigalpa. Rich, poor, working class, politics, religion, local people, outsiders, typical.food...
