The Lodge & Spa at Pico Bonito

Wow, what a stay! The grounds and mountain views are beautiful. The resort attracts some of the most beautiful birds, and butterflies I've ever seen.
The rooms are nicely decorated and comfortable. Although, you will not want to spend much time in the rooms when you can be roaming the property or just sitting, listening, and enjoying the outside scenery.
There is only one restaurant, with a bar on the property. The prices are very reasonable, and the food quality, taste, and quantity, were outstanding. You will never leave hungry!
Every staff member we met was so friendly and willing to be sure your stay was enjoyable.
My only dismay was the pool was beautifully clear and inviting when we arrived, but then became very cloudy and remained so for the additional three days we were there. We never had the opportunity to enjoy the pool.
Also, the front desk had limited ability to change cash and did not have an available ATM. Which at the end of your stay made it difficult for adequate tipping of the staff, who all deserved tips for their exceptional service.

We just spent 2 nights at this lovely Lodge. The staff were amazing, right from reception restaurant tour guide and spa attendant.
The food was delicious, the cabin cozy and comfortable and I had one of the best massages in a long time:
Highlights were the free trail hike tour by Joel where we saw butterflies monkeys and a beautiful owl and soaked our toes in the river. Eating in the dining room with exceptional service from Orlando for dinner and so sorry can’t remember the day staff member 1/2 Italian fellow 😊 we really enjoyed ourselves. I had the pleasure of staying at the Lodge at Pico Bonito about 20 years ago after it first opened, and I've been dreaming about getting back ever since. I was delighted to discover it was every bit as wonderful now as it was then: beautiful, well-tended grounds, gorgeous cabins, delicious food, and above all, a fabulous staff that go to great lengths to make your stay enjoyable. Don't miss the early bird-watching excursion--it costs extra but is totally worth it.

Want to feel one with nature? Then this is the place to be. Here, you will become one with nature while at the same time having all the luxury you need to enjoy your stay.

A true gem in Honduras. The staff was attentive, friendly and always helpful. The food was really good and the accommodations, comfortable. I came to photograph wildlife and the guides were experts at finding a great abundance and variety. Loved my stay and hope to return sometime soon!

Nestled in the slopes of the jungle mountains, this resort-style getaway is perfect for couples and families who have a love for nature. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming and the accommodations could not be better suited for the environment.

Hidden behind pineapple farms and in a magical jungle, we arrived at the Lodge on Pico Bonito mountain. We enjoyed everything from swims in the river to fresh juices at the restaurant. The staff there was very helpful. They made the lodge feel like our second home the moment we arrived. We only wished the spa employees could speak english or be able to communicate better with, at least, a smile.
I will always remember the sound of the forest in the evening and the humming birds flying around our morning breakfast. I recommend driving to the Hot Springs about 45 minutes away.
The butterfly sanctuary is a real treat. We loved the lodge so much that we spent an extra night before flying home. Honduras is a very special country. I recommend tourist to visit Le Cieba.

This place is truly one of a kind in scenery and customer service. If your looking to get away from the world and see the best nature has to offer, this is the place.

This is the best lodge in Honduras to disconnect from urban life and technology dependance. They have beautful cabins in the middle of the second highest peak in the country. You will sleep and wake up at nature's call. On the day you can take hikes, do birdwatching, swim at the river and swimming pool or just let time go by on a hammock. Animals are everywhere, enjoy!

A wonderful experience, service is top-notch, every meal excellent and the property is incredibly peaceful and relaxing. We are scheduling our return trip immediately.

My wife and I just left and loved our stay. The views were fantastic, and the food was great. We enjoyed the humming birds while we ate.
