Pivnica Medvedgrad Ilica is a gem in Zagreb! The pub offers a fantastic blend of great food and a warm atmosphere. The staff is incredibly friendly, making you feel right at home. The traditional Croatian dishes are a must-try, and it's no wonder this place is so popular. A delightful experience that keeps me coming back for more! 🍻🇭🇷

Nice traditional place with great food and perfect beer. It is a bit overcrowded but it matches the atmosphere and the type of place. Definitely would visit again. Like the Balkan spirit there.

What a fantastic restaurant with amazing food and service!

Someone recommended Pivnica Medvedgrad Ilica to us and I'm so glad she did! The food was delicious and full of flavour and our server was super helpful with fantastic tips about the menu. Our server recommended trying their pastries to start: a cheese filled croissant and pork-rind flavoured biscuit... WOW they were amazing! I wish I'd bought loads of them to take home! We also tried a mince meat spread on toast and a charcuterie board with local cheeses that was excellent. The burgers were also delicious. Our server, Ivan I believe, also went through the beer menu in detail and made great recommendations for us.

I'm so glad we came here and tried so many different lovely things. It was fab.

Great local brewery and pub, serving their own beer. Lots of space, great beer and food, and a beautiful terrace in the garden. Right in the city centre, a lot of public transport connections for those who have had one too many :)

So many different beers, they have two separate menus with house and specials. Fridged bottles for takeaway. Had some great burgers. Super friendly staff, huge beer garden. Top tier!

Great selection of I believe house own Beer styles, very generous food portions. For probably one of the cheapest prices in town. And the service was also very friendly, had two large Beers along with my meal and got a sample of a Rauchbier Märzen for free, so you can imagine I left the place in a pretty cheerful mood 😄

My favorite dish so far are the pork ribs. Definitely different than the barbecue ribs in the US but just as juicy if not more. The meat falls off the bone and is so delicious! Would highly recommend stopping in if you get a chance.

Superb food with great beer of many different types. Nice space and service from stuff working there. We are specially grateful to Dejan who has helped us to choose right dishes for us and kids.

I liked the garden. Good atmosphere. Traditional tasty food. My husband became a fan of a light beer with the beautiful name "Leto u Zagrebu" (summer in Zagreb). It was not too full (Sunday night in July). What i disliked - smoking is allowed. This is not great when dining with kids... We were outdoors, but it was still disturbing me.

Good selection of traditional foods and craft beers. The beer was one of the best I have tasted in a while and is well priced given the location and quality. Food is tasty as well, a bit higher priced but the daily menu is a good alternative if you are looking for something more affordable. Today they offered cuttlefish bean stew and black polenta which was wonderful. Very nice, spacious outdoor seating area.

Did not expect such a massive space on such a little street! Excellent selection of beers and from the smells coming from the kitchen some good food too... Will have to come back!

This place was suggested to me from local people. Very nice and charming. My dinner was really tasty and it was a big portion! Prices are fair and personal is fast and polite.

Great service, great food and beer (I recommend Božićno now during the winter and Ljeto u Zagrebu during summer). Service usually acceptable, but one can always stumble upon a less-than-very-nice waiter. Happened like once or twice here, so one can conclude they handle it in time.

All in all, my personal go-to place if meeting up in the centre of the town.

We stopped on for a beer, and saw the food. We stayed for dinner and it was one of the best decisions we made during our stay in Zagreb. Tasty, excellent quality, and great value. Probably the best service I have experienced in Europe. This would be my first, second and third stop whenever I visit Zagreb again. The beer garden in the back is an oasis for travelers.
