Great variety of trees and nice flowers. Very noisy frogs in the pond too and tortoises. We walked up to the artificial ruins too which were good. The best place to park was next to St Vitus church, there’s a free car park there and a signposted off road walk to the arboretum.

This beautiful town of Trsteno is a real oasis on the Dubrovnik Riviera. For lovers of flowers and plants, it will be an ideal place to spend a day in the shade. I must also point out that a film expert noticed the great potential of this place and thus gave it a couple of scenes in the Game of Thrones series. I must also point out that the two giant trees at the very entrance to the Arboretum attract a lot of attention (main road Ploce-Dubrovnik) and thus give the curious to think about what's in the garden itself. An impressive botanical garden worth every attention...I highly recommend it!!!

Really nice place for 1-2h with children. It’s important to be there before midday or late afternoon. Then color of the garden and light between trees and leaves makes the best impression. Some scenes of Game of Thrones were made here, good they don’t make another case from it. Entry

Very beautiful and we'll maintained place. The guy at the cash desk was so nice that he sold us reduced price tickets because we didn't have enough cash with us and card are not allowed. Also it's best to park near the enerace instead of the church parking.

Nice little arboretum, with some great views. The only complaints that I have is that a lot of plants didn't have tags with their species and that cards aren't accepted so make sure to bring some cash.

Fabulous spot. So peaceful and beautiful after the hustle and bustle of Old Town. We came here as part of a Game of Thrones tour and were so glad to have visited the 'oldest arboretum in Europe'! Lots of shady paths which would be a god send in the busy summer months. Lovely views of the sea and beyond. Lots of wildlife and not expensive to enter!

I went with my husband today and it was amazing! I don't get the past bad reviews, it's worth the stop if you are passing by, price is great too! Nicely maintained, there are refreshments available and clean toilets (not portaloos). the guy at the ticket was nice. Keep in mind you have to pay cash, there are no ATMs close.

Beautiful botanical garden around an old villa. Game of Thrones filmed there

Beautiful park near Dubrovnik. It is a bit expensive (10 € per person) but in general it’s worth the price. Game of Thrones fans should visit the park, as it is one of the filming locations.

We loved the place, interesting history and plants. Good and different alternative to mix-in with beach holiday.
But you will likely need a car to get to the place.

The Game of thrones site is not only that. It is also an ancient arboretum with many different tree species and Fontaine with goldfish and water lilies.
Take a look.

One of the best Arboretums I've visited, such a peaceful and beautiful feeling while walking around there. I especially loved the Carp pond and grotto, one could easily spend hours relaxing ans taking in this spot alone.

The visit to the Arboretum exceeded all expectations... Well, let me start, it was the middle of August, the temperature hovered around 38 degrees Celsius. As we stepped inside the park, it was as if we entered some kind of pleasant cloud, all the feeling of summer heat disappeared, the greenery that what surrounded us was like a protective cloak made of wood. Walking into the depth of the park, a real surprise followed: from the old mill, the main house with a small square and a chapel, and narrow well-maintained paths that meandered through the vegetation and greenery, a wonderful vantage point that takes your breath away, you can see the neighboring islands... Such a rhapsody for the senses, as if time has stopped and the outside world does not exist. The real surprise was the Neptune fountain - breathtaking...

This wasn't on our list of things to do. We just bumped into it. We stopped at the church at the top of the hill and then mosied our way down the stairs. We saw the Arboretum and kept walking down. He eventually saw Roman ruins on our right that we had no idea we're there. Turns out it was a Roman aqueduct remains that were an excellent shape.
