Kažun Park

A beautiful place - everything very carefully prepared for tourists. Entrance free of charge. Great starting point for hiking and cycling trail starting nearby. Sometimes there are small performances during the summer. Welcome to Vodnjan!

A place for a short stop along the way. Check out how a kažun was once built, with bare stones, without any additional machines, tools or other materials!

Let your kids go inside and play around - they will imagine their own stories and talk about the place afterwards.

It also has a bike repair toolkit - pretty cool since there are a lot of bike tracks around Vodnjan!

Great place to visit and learn more about this historical buildings and trademarks of Vodnjan and Istria. It offers a showcase of different stages in building a "kažun".

We were driving to go to another location in Croatia and we tumble across these beautiful Park with several traditional houses the are built fully with 1 material only. Just stones. This is a must-see if you're passing by we'd love it. At the store you can also buy wine local olive oils and beautiful souvenirs like my beautiful little house I have now in my home. I highly recommend this place

We found the park gate open, so we entered and looked around (10 minutes).
It is a really nice effort from the locals to show everyone the kažuns. Much appreciated!

Interesting place regarding istrian olive history

Very nice place to see when you're passing by. Entrance is free and there's plenty of parking space across the street.

Loved seeing how kazuns were made in the olden days. Nice to also read some more about them and go into them.

Interesting place to learn about how kažun is made. We came before season and the place was empty and the entrance was free!

There are over 3000 kazuns in the Vodnjan area and throughout Istria. They were used as shelters for shepherds and farmers. Kids loved playing in them when we visited.
