Summary: Delicious food with a nice view and really nice staff.
The beef carpacio with arugula was better than the main dishes (homemade pasta with white truffles and steak with black truffles) which were really delicious. The pancakes with creamy cheese curd and honey are also worth trying out. The waitresses were amazingly nice!

This is the second time I have eaten here and both times I was very happy! The food is delicious, local and fresh and, more importantly, you get a decent amount of truffles 🙂 The service is great, waitresses are nice and friendly. The view from the terrace is peaceful and beautiful… I will definitely come back.
Tips: book in advance, come again in white truffle season

This is the second time we have eaten at Konoba Vela Vrata. The last time was about 5 years ago, before Covid.
It did not disappoint. I decided to have the Ribeye steak (eyes bigger than my belly!) it was massive. The plate was about 15”
Don’t be put off by the pricing of it as it as it’s done on weight. 55€ a kg (mine cost €30) and ended up cheaper than my husbands Beef steak and truffle pasta.
Staff was very friendly. Get there early or you won’t get in. The view out the back is amazing 🤩
I tried a local soft drink, it tasted a bit like Grenadine and fizzy water.

First of all the view is magic plain nature without any traffic.
Staff is wonderfull, and the food is faboulis and extremly tasty.

Simply a wonderful place! For years our favorite! Can't wait for next visit 😋

Delicious local Istrian food. Limited tables so be sure to book. Loved the steak with black truffles and the carpaccio.

Lovely restaurant in the middle of green untouched nature, with excellent service and fine meals. The ladies who worked there are beyond kind and super friendly, and tje food was delicious! The view from the terrace was fantastic!

If you want to try delicious Istrian cuisine put this place into your Google maps and follow the route. It will not disappoint you for sure. We had carpaccio from Boskarin (Istrian ox) with white truffles. Speechless. The mixture of smell, taste and texture is simply unexplainable. Still being amazed by the Boskarin, we moved to the main dish. Homemade ravioli filled with cheese mixed with different types of meat. I can sure tell you that whichever you pick, you won't miss. Extra good food, teranino and amazing landscape.

A gem of a restaurant tucked away in the mountains. The food was delicious, great flavour, good quality meat, sweet, simple, rustic setup, nice view from the terrace. Would recommend it for people who want to escape touristy venues.

Excellent Konoba in the middle of nowhere. Reservation required. Mostly local guests and super friendly staff. Very good atmosphere: we are not family but like family!

Pasta was incredibly tasty as well as meat, one of the best meals we had in Istria, will be back again for sure👌🏼👌🏼

A simply beautiful rustic restaurant with excellent service, a great menu and breathtaking views.
Visiting as a group of 8 guests there was nothing but the highest compliments about the food. One of the best steaks I’ve ever eaten.

Me and my girlfriend just had an amazing dinner. We both had a beefsteak with white truffles and Istrian pljukanci pasta. This meal is a must. The atmosphere is warm and cozy. Staff is helpful and polite. Hope to visit soon again.
