TARTUFI ISTRA

Must do!!! We booked the truffle hunting tour and tasting offered by Tartufi Istria. It was one of the rare experiences you have where it exceeded every expectation. Drazen was communicative and helpful and met us to drive us to meet Patrick- our truffle hunting expert and Dan and Abba his truffle hunting dogs. 😀 We met and walked through a beautiful forest as Dan and Abba found truffles. Patrick was kind, informative and patient with our many questions and our obsession with his dogs. The dogs found truffles and we went to our tasting at Tartufi Istrua. Drazen had arranged parking in Motovan so we didn’t have to walk or ride the bus up. Worth the price if the tour right there.
Tartufi Istria is off the beaten path a little but easy to find. It’s tucked away just behind the clock tower next to the church on a beautiful setting.
We were met by Christian and Marijana. Who were also incredibly welcoming. We had the most amazing truffle inspired meat and cheese board, best omelet I’ve had in my life, and fresh croissants with truffle honey. We had thought we were having a omelet and had made plans to eat after but happily cancelled as we left full and happy. The truffle taste in their products was balanced perfectly and their meats and cheeses were excellent. We purchased many items. And are excited to buy more since they also ship. Overall an absolutely incredible experience!

A lovely truffle shop, and extremely goood service. They have free tastings, the people who work there are really passionate about truffles, so they’d love if you ask questions and not only eat. You don’t HAVE to buy anything, you can come and taste only, however the products are really good and the charm over the shop and the spirit and hard work behind it is really inspiring. It’s a cute place to visit if you go to Motovun or Istria.

Great place, we bought a wine an drank it on the terace playing cards. Very friendly and nice, great wine and truffle products!

Prekrasan ambijent u starom gradu Motovuna. Proizvodi raznoliki, jako ukusni i mame na ponovno kušanje. Domačin prirodan i spontan uvijek na usluzi sa perfektnim znanjem o tartufima. Svakako ćemo doći opet😊

Prodavac je kulturan,lijepo objesnjava proizvode, zadovoljni smo i vidimo se opet👍🏻

Super schöner Trüffel Laden mit sehr viel interessanten und guten Produkten. Und sehr freundlicher Bedienung. Im Onlineshop hatt man eine grosse Auswahl von Trüffelprodukten die mir sehr geschmeckt haben mi sehr guten Preisen,und schneller Lieferung. 🙂
