Hortobágyi Csárda

Surely one of the best restaurants in Hungary I have tried so far! The food tastes authentic, the meat is fresh and local. Portions are big, so it might get challenging to keep some space for the desserts.. but it's worth it!! Greetings to the waiter who was really nice!

Live music,plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and clean bathroom. There's a great variety of traditional Hungarian dishes and even a few vegetarian options. I'd recommend the cold fruit soup and pancake Hortobágy style. Free parking available next to the restaurant, and there's a market on the the other side of the road as well.

Delicious food (I recommend the Gray Cattle meat - Szurke marha) and big portions. Quite expensive, if you compare it to the neighbouring country (Romania) but it's worth it.

We came here to eat the classic Hortobagy meat pancake which lived up to expectations! The rest of the food was also really good.

Good porrions, tasty traditional food, and the prices were also fair. The desserts were delicios and I've never heard about poppyseed noodles before in my life despite living about 40 kms from here.

Great food, lovely and quick staff, nice ambience, all around a good place to eat

We had a wonderful lunch at this historic place. Our food came quickly, it was excellently prepared, tasty, the original variety of beef that we had called. szürkemarha the tastiest beef we’ve ever tasted. We had the roasted goose leg with stewed, cabbage and french fries prepared in. mangalica fat. The atmosphere reminded us of a museum, which is a plus for a place like this. Lots of historic and regional artifacts. Waitstaff spoke English very well.

Very tipically looking restaurant with great location and huge capacity They are serving typical hungarian dishes. Food was very good. The only thing that should by updated is menu - they had no menu in English, only in Hungarian.

Great to stop for lunch! We had grilled chicken and salad, it was delicious and excellent service (english speaking staff).
