La Contessa Castle Hotel and Event Center

I loved everything about this hotel. The food is absolutely delicious. The staff were all so polite. We arrived quite late and they let us have dinner before we checked in so we don’t go to sleep hungry. The room was nice and clean. You can walk from the hotel to the market and to the train that takes you up to Szalajka Volgy. Lovely place.

The place is beautiful and I suggest everyone to visit the bowling alley with pool and darts also. The waitresses were very friendly and fast with our orders. I've been to this place twice and I love it!

We just had our wedding at La Contessa. The organisation from Petra has been outstanding, and we want to thank the hotel for the hard work and “anything you need” attitude that made this the most special event of our lives. All of our guests loved their time at the venue, giving comments such as “this place is like a fairytale” and “this is the best food I’ve ever had at a wedding.” Our guests from the UK also particularly enjoyed the saunas in their rooms.

Thank you to Petra, Sandor and all of the team that have been supporting us pull our magical celebration together at your fairytale venue. We are looking forward to coming back next year for our anniversary!

We had our wedding here last Saturday (British-Hungarian) and I must say we had a fantastic time! The entire hotel staff was very attentive, kind and did their best to accommodate all our requests and cater to our guests from different backgrounds and cultures. Special thanks go to Judit, our events manager and Attila, the hotel manager without whom our wedding wouldn’t have been such a huge success.

Another highlight was the food! Given it was a two-day event, we tasted lots of different meals from canapés and sandwiches through buffet breakfasts and dinners, all the way to an elegant three-course meal. On all occasions La Contessa didn’t disappoint; their chef is incredible and on behalf of all our guests, we’d like to say a huge thanks to everyone who played part in preparing these magnificent dishes.

I really can’t think of anything that could have gone better and for that reason, you have my highest recommendation and I encourage everyone to go and experience it for themselves.

We spent 3 nights there and is was pretty cool. The castle is really nice, and the nature around it is just picturesque. About the meals: I've literally never eaten such a great foods before. This hotel has the best kitchen. Loved it.

Nice 4* castle hotel with good food and a really good wellness facility. I was missing a fitness room, but the best running trail of ever can be reached: the Szalajka-völgy ( 4km and back ). Hiking trails are awesome around.

Really beautiful place for relaxation ! :P We had an amazing sight over the trees from the patio, near the restaurant. The serving in the restaurant was rich, gorgeous : "That's the style"! I like that! <3
The wellnes center is fine, whe water's temperature was perfect. I love the room, and the big bathroom too.

A very nice castle converted into a hotel. We stayed in the new, modern building and our room was spacious and clean. Their buffet dinner was really far above par in comparison to similar places in Hungary.

The staff was very helpful and kind to give advice about what to see around.
Book the rooms in the upper floors where you can have your private sauna.
and Hald board is recommended to taste hungarian meals. "all you can eat" buffet.

It was an unbelievable experience. Strongly recommended. Especially the foods, holy mother! The most tasty foods in all Hungary.

Excellent wellness section, multiple saunas, clean swimming pools. Nice service. Tidy rooms, clean bathrooms. Food was adequate, I loved the breakfasts especially.

Beautiful place with a great ambience. Great place for a few romantic days. Also great location and good starting point for some nice walks uphill. Good quality food and nice wellness facilities.
