Once a ceramic factory but now is has multiple functions as art gallery, theater, cafe, and i need to tell you they have an amazing HOT CHOCOLATE cafe inside! Should stop by bc it's worth it. A really good place to hang out with your friends also they have a playground and green open space :)

The Zsolnay Negyed (Quarter/Precinct) is about 2km walk from the centre of Pécs/Széchenyi Tér. Many beautiful impressive buildings and statues with stunning, colourful Zsolnay ceramics on them. So many things to see and do here from guided tours of the ceramics factory, various shops and cafés, Children's museum, Ballet, etc etc. We went on a tour of the ceramics area and missed the first half as the ticket sales area directed us to the wrong starting point. Be aware that tickets are sold for the various attractions in multiple places, not necessarily where the attraction is. Signage is not particularly good and it's easy to get lost, it's a large precinct. Not everything is open every day, so make sure the attraction you want to see is open before you go! We spent about 4 hours here and it was nowhere near enough time. You really need binoculars or a telephoto lens to see much of the extraordinarily detailed and colourful decorations all over the buildings. The gardens themselves are also lovely with statues and fountains dotted throughout. Many of the buildings here have similarly decorative details on them and I have a sore neck from trying to look at them!

This is a must visit. An amazing cultural and historic place to visit. Full of things to do for kids and adults alike. Also has several cafes, restaurants and shops, and a play park for kids.

This place looks and feels gorgeous. The buildings are nicely renovated and the bronze gatekeeper thingies will happily twerk for you — provided you wear a proper face mask :)

I loved the place, there are fairs sometimes, you can find a bakery, a candy shop, an chocolate, a souvenir shop, but talking about the main thing, the factory. It's a great place showcasing the tradition of China dish manufacturing, got to learn a lot. It's a pity that not many tourists come here.

Lit lit lit! This place is crazy impressive for any foreigner to visit. The history and artifacts there are beautiful, even the buildings are intricately decorated and painted in vivid beautiful colors. I would like to give a heads up to those who visit, that the puppet museum does not have any text in English.

A must visit if you have an interest in local history, local industry and pottery. Great collection of Zsolnay pottery especially from the art nouveaux period. Was surprised how interesting and well presented the whole site is.

Beautiful place now renovated, lots of programs and a handful of playgrounds for kids to get lost in. The Planetarium is great, although there are only English guides from a group of 15.
You can have picnics here too, there is enough green and shade on warm days. The puppet theatre has a lot to offer and their Cafè Griffin is superb.

I was very impressed by this place. The exhibitions are interesting, you will see a huge collections of artisan ceramics.
There is a cafe where you can have snacks too.

I had the opportunity of visiting the planetarium. It was more like a celestial space and equipped with the state of art facilities to make astrophysics interesting.
