Guide is enthusiastic and the cave is spectacular, but not outstanding compared to other caves in Hungary. Well worth a detour combined with a visit to the nearby bat museum and lake. Low entrance and 80 some stairs at the end to visit the last hall (optional).

It’s a normal serene environment. Beautiful surroundings and there’s a cave museum around there. A nice place to spend some alone time or with a company

Very nice cave, easy to walk through. Temperature is 12°C, shorts and blouse on t-shirt will be fine. Very helpful staff. Audioguide in english available. Please don't be ignorant and don't throw coins into the stream...

The cave was amazing, we were walking 500m and the temperature was only 11 degrees. You can see many different shapes of rock which was created thousands years ago. The best thing in cave for me was champer of healthy. In that part of cave there is no dust, air is very clean and full of minerals such as magnesium and calcium. If you have any problems with asthma or allergies you just breathe deep.

Beautiful attraction to visit near Pécs with a small lake to chill and some bars around. Entrance to the cave is only possible with a guide. Entrance fee is about 3€ and tours run every hour, however it's only in Hungarian.
There is a forest around the cave with hiking routes so it's great place to spend a day.

Amazing cave system, next to the Bat Museum, suggest to buy combined tickets for these two attractions. The cave tour takes about forty, forty five minutes with a tour guide and it cannot be visited otherwise. Tours start every hour. It is a great experience for young and elderly ones alike with huge stones and dripstones. The tour also involves a 80 step ascend but it can be skipped.
Definitely worth a visit!
No touchy touchy though! 🙂

The place is close to Pécs with buses operating the whole day long. There's a small lake with seating pleases around. It's possible to rent boats and a part of the lake is assigned for swimming.
The cave is also very beautiful with a well-established rout.

First of all, there is a small lake where you can rent a boat and spend time with your family or friend. Abaliget cave is really impressive and mysterious. Also, our tour guide was very patient and kind. The reason why I say the patient is because of the participants who do not keep silent, the children they cannot cope with, and the people who take pictures, touch the stones and set foot in spite of all the warnings. I think it would be much healthier if they took smaller groups to the cave, which has been silent for millions of years.

12 degrees inside indeed, bring a coat and socks! Shoes are of no issue as the whole time you'll be walking on beton- that's where they hide the cables.
The tour was interesting and informative, the cave beautiful and well lit. Not sure if they have English speaking guides.
The last part of the tour is pretty steep, some stairs are 50cm high even.
There was a bat museum next door, but we've skipped that.
Outside there are some souvenir shops, you can go water bike on the lake and at the tiny buffet we ate wonderful soft ice cream, was such a pleasant surprise!

About 700 meters deep you can have a nice walk into the cave. If you are lucky you might catch a glimpse of bats. Prepare for clibing stairs too...

This is a great place to visit in the summer heat. The temperature in the cave is 11 °C and the regular tour, starting each hour, takes an hour.

Definetely worth a visit, don't go with little kids, as there are some really steep steps, up to 30cm each.
