Zrínyi Castle

❤ Highly recommend you to visit all places inside the castle. Especially new building with interactive exhibition. The stuff is so helpful and nice. If you haven’t Hungarian translator you can use the app with multiple languages or you can use the museum Tablet.

➖The website is not so comfortable and user friendly.
➖The café doesn’t work on the territory.

The fortress of Szigetvar has a very nice museum where you can learn a lot about the history of the place and the courageous Nikola Zrinski IV. who defended the fort till the last breath.

It gives a very good understanding how life was in the 16th century. The short show was also impressive and we could try the old way of fighting as well. It definitely worth visiting this castle. The staff is friendly and they were also gave us some historical lessons and stories from that age.

A bite of Hungarian 16th c history. Heritage about castle soldier lifeis kept by locals. Nice museum. You can feel the heroic past of Hungarian soldiers.

There is a guided show about weapons and kids and even me was focused.
Some weaponry and statues are nice to see.

Recently went here as a family. Great activities for kids and lots of history to learn for adults. Clean and well maintained. Public restroom available and clean. Not much to see, but plenty of history to learn. The property surrounding the castle is beautiful with well paved paths. Stroller friendly. Lots of benches along the way with luscious greenery.

History is Very well preserved

This is a great historical place, I recommend it to everyone, the staff are welcoming, and the view is majestic.

The castle is a really nice and calm park to spend the whole afternoon. The museum gives interresting insights into the battle and history although it can be went through in less than an hour

Old fortress & museum. Tour was very good, guide knowledgeable. For all you history buffs, a place to visit.

Feels like traveling back trough time, Croatian noble Nikola Zrinski(Zriny) and few hundreds od defenders heroically died for freedom and its kingdom.

Entry fee too expensive considering exhibited content is average.

Beautiful, must see historical site of a significant, and dire battle of opposing Turkish forces and Hungarian guardians.
