Ferenc Pince Csárda

Classic Hungarian food that's several notches above the rest in terms of quality, professional service and ambiance. Also features their own wines available only at the winery.

While the prices may shock some for a "csárda" meal, the quality of the ingredients and the preparation, plus excellent service along with the location and view from the large terrace, still make it a good value.

If anything, I was shocked by how good everything was. Even a pedestrian dish like stuffed cabbage amazed me, and except for my grandmother's was the best I've ever had. My Hungarian wife rated the fish soup a 9 out of 10, and loved the fogás rántva (pike-perch) with vegetables. The Irsai Oliver was another surprise, having been aged in casks, giving it tremendous depth and a deeper color more like an aged chardonnay. Unlike any other wine of this type I've experienced before.

Our visit was on a weekday, late lunch, off season (late September), and was not crowded, making the experience even more relaxed and enjoyable.

Great wine, great food (try the roasted pike-perch or the beef stew is excellent) with awesome view of the lake.

Breakfast are nice you can ask things that you like to eat . The service are great

My wife an me have a special connection with this restaurant, in 2010 we hel our wedding reception here, the food is great, the view is amazing, and the waiters are very friendly, we try to visit it at least 1 to 2 times a year.
When at the Balaton this is a must visit you won't be disappointed.

I love this place. Its cosy and they offer delicious food with a very welcoming service. I would definitely recommend it for people visiting Balaton lake after having a long tiring walking/ biking day during sunset. If you are coming from the other side of the lake through the ship try to look on the last time of going back to the other side as they might close early and you will end up going back from a different location, paying money and spending a lot of time waiting for trains and buses.

A good alternative od you want to feed your body & eyes same time. Balaton panorama is just spectacular. Slightly more expensive then other restaurants im Tihany, but no extravaganza. Just relax and enjoy the view.

Nice view at the lake from a terrace. Quiet and relaxing. We had just a coffee and pancake, happy with that.
