Puncak Gunung Andong

I took the route from Pesona Alam. This route is less desired. There is no particular Basecamp. Just a narrow parking area with a ticketing post that is usually open only on the weekend. The transit house is next to a small mosque. You need to pay 6.000 per person and 10.000 for a motorbike. A bit pricey for the parking.

It took me 1 hour and a half to reach the summit. There are 3 main hills you need to hike up. All beautiful. Breathtaking scenery and landscape. Be early because usually after 9 the fog/mist will block the view. Bringing tracking pole is recommended.

At the summit (Andong) you can go to the warung. They sale hot drink (tea coffee) mineral water and simple meal such as noodle and fried Tempe.

Camping during the weekend is not suggested because it would be very crowded and a bit noisy. The dust at the summit is unbearable.

Not too tall, everybody can climb this mountain, take around 2 hours to get to the top. You can buy some snack on the top because there is some mini snack shop there. Very great scenery on the top.

BREATHTAKING SIGHT. I was one of the lucky ones to enjoy this peak when it's barely known, there's zero garbage and no food stalls yet, just a zenith orbitted by other summits back in 2014. It was great there. Beautiful view. Negeri di atas awan. Ajib. Not too hard or difficult to climb. Worth it. But if u plan to hike on the weekend be ready to see a packed tents. Was so crowded. But nice. Met a lots of new people, friendly people. Anyway it was my first hiking experience. But if u r planning to climb andong, just do it. It's worth it. Have fun. Be safe. Xoxo

Avoid to climb up this mountain during weekend or long holliday as there will be a lot of people.

It will take about 1 hour trekking until the Top. The view is so amazing, you can see Merbabu and Merapi mountain from here.
It's possible to camp here.

Mount Andong is a mountain in Salatiga, Central Java. The height is 2056 meters above sea level. Travel from basecamp to peak for 2 hours. When we arrived at the top we could see Mount Ungaran, Mount Merbabu and Mount Merapi. I have climbed this mountain 4 times, and I might climb this mountain again next time. Because the scenery is really amazing.

Mount Andong is a mountain that can be categorized as a mountain that is quite difficult to pass, with an altitude of 1732mdpl this mountain has an interesting view and not far from other high mountains, compilation on the top of a mountain, you can enjoy a cup of coffee and see the beauty of Indonesia, You can see several mountains in Central Java such as, Mount Merbabu, Mount Telemoyo, Mount Sindoro, Mount Merapi, Mount Sumbing and the beautiful scenery of residents living around Mount Andong.

Mountain which have feels like a mall, I highly recommend to come here at weekdays. Great place to escape from your daily activities not to high but have a spectacular views

A nice mountain to beginner in hiking. It has various road to reach the peak.

If you are a beginner hiker, you should hike this mountain first. The view on the top when sunset is really amazing! You could see Mt. Sindoro and Sumbing in the west and Mt. Merbabu and Merapi in the east.

Good for tracker beginner , and suggests to follow New route when climbing and old rute went down hill, and the best time to climb is at 3AM, because can see sun rise.

ive been here for several times, best Mountain to climb, fast, it doesn't take so long to hike, fast route, and save passage to climb.

Andong has some peaks, has a lot of good spots to take pictures. Enjoy!

This mountain is not really high yet have beautiful view. You can see merapi, merbabu, sindoro, sumbing andany others mountain from the peak. It's good for beginner hikers.
