Hotel Lumi Gili Trawangan

What a beautiful and special location. I was able to make a marriage proposal here. And this could never have been so beautiful without the help of all the staff. And especially from Dahlia and Andi. We were in contact for weeks to make something unforgettable. The food was fantastic, the personal contact was very nice and the view of the beach during sunset was breathtaking. Absolute 5 stars!

This resort/hotel located on the west side of the island, so definitely a best place to watch sunset. Seems like the place was kind of newly build from the design and interior. We had a very great time during our stay here. The staffs were very helpful and attentive. They also provide bikes for free when we stayed there. Amenities were great. Breakfast was also very proper, we can choose a main from their menu, but they also served fruit, baked goods, and selections of drink on the side. For some reason, I didn't find any local/Indonesian tourist there, only foreigner.

Our favourite place that we stayed on Gili T. The service from the staff was excellent and the rooms were comfortable and quiet. Breakfast selection was quite good. Location is on the quieter side of the island, the only downside being the distance from the pier reluctantly requiring the use of horse taxi to move our luggage to the hotel. Wish there was an alternative option for this.

Although the resort is a bit far from the island center, the location is almost perfect for watching the sunset without being crowded. It's surprising how inexpensive the price is compared to the value received from the room, landscape, and service. In particular, the restaurant serves very delicious food. One of the most beautiful resorts in Gili Trawangan.

Lumi is amazing, the location is away from the busy night market but close enough to everything you need, the staff are friendly and very attentive, the rooms are clean and well maintained, the food is fresh and tasty, the pool is cold and the view is priceless. The staff will help you organise your time on the island outside of just at the resort. We dealt mainly with Agus who is very funny, friendly, helpful, and always with a smile on his face, if you go to Lumi I hope you get to meet him.

We ended up canceling our reservation at the previous hotel and walked into this lovely hotel. The receptionist was so kind and showed us the available rooms right away. This hotel is hands down the best on the island, with modern rooms and great amenities. It has a beautiful view of the sea and a lovely on-site restaurant. It's located on the peaceful end of the island, but they provide free bikes so you can easily explore the whole island during your stay. The breakfast has a great choice of dishes. I highly recommend this hotel for couples visiting the island for a few days!

It is my first experience staying at Gili Trawangan and felt so delightful to stay with LUMI from 27-30th January 2024. Everything from the warm welcome to the property and services are impeccable. All of their staffs are warm and friendly yet very courteous.

The Cottage Deluxe is definitely beyond my expectations, I was impressed on the small details to ensure my whole experience staying there were memorable.

Food and beverages quality also great although there are still rooms for improvement. The pool also great overviewing beach front which also the best spot to experience sunset in the whole island.

Definitely a very memorable home away from home experience for me and I will definitely stay at LUMI again whenever I have chance visiting Gili T.

The rooms is a little bit small but all the rest is perfect. The hotel provides a bicycle which is perfect. Great food in the restaurant, the breakfast they have many options. I love it.
The location is in the opposite side of the busy area. 20 minutes cycling.

We loved the Cottage for its space en facilities. All meals were fantastic, great kitchen. Service by the pool and allround was wonderful and attentive. Free bicycle on loan to discover the island.
Will certainly plan to return!

We stayed two nights and it was perfect.
It is rather far from the harbor but i like it as we are away from the noise.
The staffs were so friendly and kind and the breakfast was perfect.
I strongly recommend this place 💙

Highlight of my vacation on Bali/Gilis.
Very nice hotel, super clean, modern. Super helpful staff. Stayed here 3 nights.

I had a breakfast included in the price and I recommend this feature. You get ala carte breakfast, amazing dishes. Then there are some pastries, fruits, waffles... Some fresh juices. Specifically the pastries were really fresh and really well baked, absolute 10/10.

You also got a bikes at the hotel, all free and well kept bikes... Its necessary for traveling to the east side of the Island as at the hotel there is... Yeah well as there is very difficult entrance to sea.. You can swim there but its recommend not to. I still had to try and it isnt worth it, you just get your knees hurt by some sharp coral as you get hit by a wave, there is no escaping that. On the east side of the Island tho there are turtles and such, real nice and only 15 minutes chill seaview ride on a bike.

Frozen margarita at the pool bar is a nice way to enjoy sunset on Gili T

Very beautiful location for the perfect vacation with the best staff and delicious food.

On my second trip to Gilly, Rumi was the best choice. All the staff were friendly and can rent a bike for free. The staff who was particularly friendly was TARI.

Special thanks to the chefs that made our stay wonderfull. We are regular guest at Gili, this was our first time in Lumi ... the food was just way superior to the Gili standard + the chefs komang and Imam came to our table for check up: never happen in Gili!. rooms and service were also friendly and pretty well enjoyable.
We defenitally recommand Lumi hotel and Skinny dips...

Outstanding!!! I stayed at Lumi for 4 nights and had an incredible stay. The beds are comfy, super relaxing pool area with fantastic view, the restaurant and drinks are also excellent and I loved the tunes (best playlist on the island imo), great vibes. It’s located on the quieter part of the island which for me, was perfect.

There’s seating and dining on the beach too that has a stunning view of the beach - so lovely for sunset. They also had Yogi Samantha play on my last night, I loved his performance and amazing voice. Last but not least, a huge thanks to all the staff Karin, Echo and everyone from the chefs to the bar and restaurant staff and gardeners.

Thank you so much for a unforgettable stay! You all made me feel super welcome and looked after!! I’ll definitely be back.

We didn't stay here just had a drink/snacks to watch the sunset. It was expensive but good cocktails, good service and great view of the sunset! They also had a movie night when we were there, apparently the entertainment changes daily and the night before was a fire dancing show. So overall worthwhile and I would recommend.

This is a must to go to. We had the best stay ever👌Loved it and would go back definitely! The staff is trained well and helpful, friendly. Best stay ever👌🥰

We had such a wonderful stay at Lumi.
The hotel is incredible combining tastefully decorated rooms (we stayed in the Cottage and also the Cabin rooms for a couple of days each).
The cottage rooms are very large and offer good privacy. The cabin rooms are smaller but very functional. Both are very quiet, very well functioning AC and great showers
The pool area is the highlight with a wonderful view of the sunset, nice water temperature and nice music (some days live music). Drinks and breakfast were very good as well.
The staff is very nice and helpful. Thank you to Ricky and his colleague at reception who were very nice and helped us carry our bags.
Although on the other side of the island from the pier, the island is small and we were able to move around very easily.
Note: there are bikes available for free use but they are not always available. If you’re planning to move around a lot, safest to rent a bike for your trip ($2-3 per day)
