Far away from crowded, life frenzied, such a quiet place to refresh our soul and mind. Beauty and harmony can be seen from the architecture form, all came with great imagination to shape every inch, compotition and structure. Just relief and fresh everytime visiting this place. Every corner representing the art itself, touching and seeing it more like the source of fountain of life. Peoples from many background, domestic and international tourist, use to came for pray and attend the mass or just to admire it. Some to take a part for rituals the Passion of the Christ, visitors also providing with free Holy Water in plastic bottle to take away but consider the place need source to maintain its operation and preserve so it will be respectful if peoples might be spend some coin at collection box near it. Many facility are available, gazebos, toilets, restaurant, inn, souvenirs shop, local stall, grocery store, snack, ect. But mostly of restos in this place selling pork dish with loxal taste. Parking area also very large, located near the enterance gate. People also can park near the 2nd gate wich is the Quiet Zone before entering inner site but only for motorcycle not for car. All the way to 2nd gate there's locals offering their merchendise like neckles, rosary, statue, holy waters, bracelet, ect. Road to the location was wort to try, it start with good and wide road condition and end with tight careless roads that only fit for 1 car. Beware for downhill and uphill, curved path and weather condition.Not too many sign board to location, especially at rainy day the terrain condition need more attention to pass. It looks untouched by the goverment or for else reason. But don't worry for the locals was friendly and willing to help for troubles on the way. This place free to enter no need ticket or else.

This place is one of amazement, religion, and awe. The architecture alone is reason to come. The religious aspect makes this place even more cherished. A symbol of unity through diversity. I spwnt so much time here enjoying the fellowship of others. The power of prayer is ever present in this place. There are a lot of vendors heading up to the Goa, but they are all very respectful. Proceeds from sales helps to maintain this beautiful gem. The staff is tolerant to all faiths.

It has a confusing entrance but you can find a tranquil and peaceful ambience inside.

One place to contemplate and also to do self reflection about self for Roman Catholic believers. Very recomend to come by earliest of the morning.

The way here is quite well developed, although it is still quite narrow. A serene, quiet place for worship, praying and meditation with very refreshing air and ambience.

access is a bit difficult from the main road,
you have to take a small or local car because the access road goes up and down the mountain.
very beautiful place, but not suitable for bringing old people,
too many stairs to go up and down.
Hopefully easy access will be built in the coming year.

Felt better... After visited here last sunday. If you need some place to intimate with Your Prayers, you should go to Gua Maria Sendangsono too, not only in your private room.
I felt my own expression turn in my heart, mind, n soul. I will not forget this spritual pleasure.

This is a nice grotto up above the hill with a thrilling journey with cliffs and trees all around. So, you should be careful if you are not advance with your car. In other side, this grotto is a really well conceptualized with small river crossing in the middle and some spots to meditate, praying or just sitting down to enjoy the nature. The down point for me is because this place is really well-known among Christians, sometime I think this place is more to the tourism destination rather than a place to sit-silent-and pray, because too many people. So, to really appreciate this place you need to plan your time and day and you will find quiet and serenity. enjoy the adventurous journey to get this place...and find peace.

Eventhough this place is a praying site, it is famous not only for Catholics but also tourists as well. The majestic architecture of this place attracts visitors. A lot of pilgrims visit this place, mostly in the months of Feast of St. Mary. Gua Maria Sendangsono is serene and peaceful - a suitable hideout for those who need contemplation.

Not really hard to get here.
If follow the google maps will directed in hiked road almost 3 KM long.
Easier way is from Yogya-Magelang national road, then go to sendangsono faster way.

There is 2 place to stay there, one of them is "berkah ibu" and one more titled with "gubuk ibu"

Very good place, good architecture here.

Have a mass every week at 11 AM at here.
Quite crowded from local people + tourist attent the mass.

Have long and short "jalan salib" also here.

Each of visitor only can bring max 2 bottle of holy water that already provided by the staff.

Gua Maria Sendangsono is a real beautiful place to visit. It is a place for Catholics to say their prayers. The place is very quiet. Free entrance, free parking. Some 30 km outside of Yogyakarta.

The place is about 1 hour and 30 minutes travel from my hotel, but the view going there was beautiful!

A holy place for christian people to worship and pray. There's also a sendangsono holy water available freely for visitors. The place is calm and cozy. Recomended for people who want to have a retreat over the mountains.

Big area to cover all. Big MARIA STATUE well come to parking area. Very nice structure arround the cave and have a Historical statue and soldier and Cross. When they Crucifixion Jesus . Will be back again if coming to midle java. 🙏🙏🙏

A very silence place in Muntilan district area for pray and meditation. A historical place for First Catholic baptism from Rm Van Lith .

Very relaxing, far from the traffic. It's a good place to praying. The architecture was great. Every point of this place give you a wonderful experience.
