Merdeka Walk

Modern and lively ambience in the heart of Medan. Many big restaurants and coffee shops. Also many lights under the trees. The guests chairs are being put both indoor and outdoor area. The sidewalk is clean. There are pick up and drop off points for online vehicles. A good place to spend quality time with family and friends.

Well known for hangout in Medan City. Good place for family. Because of its well known, many people come here and make it crowded, sometimes it is kinda difficult to find parking space if you get there by car. So I recommend you using public transport or at least motorbike. You can enjoy lunch or dinner here, but I recommend you to come here at night because they have beautiful lighting. Around there, you can enjoy the view of building with old architecture while enjoying your food.

Nice place to enjoy your free time with doing sports in the morning.
You can do jogging, yoga, aerobic, or gym with the equipment around here.

You can also find many types of food here, we call it jajanan.
The famous one is egg-sausage, baked meatballs, and many else.

In the night, especially Saturday night, the atmosphere is really crowded of people that hanging out with friends or families. They choose restaurant in Merdeka Walk because it's located strategically near Centre Point and another big place.

This is 2nd time both of us spend time for celebration our new year... Good by Year 2020 and Welcome for Year 2021... My son just you who always by my side standing... Chear me up... Thank you... Even this place is cheap but Its look expensive for us cause memories that give Unforgettable...

Super comfortable outdoor foodcourt in town. Not too crowded at night. They have live music, sometimes they show local performances.

Merdeka Walk has an outdoor concept. Fun and convenient place to hang out, chat and eat with friends. there are many choices of restaurants where to eat in some of them: nelayan resto, ayam penyet ria, starbucks, etc. The right time to Merdeka Walk is from 6:00 p.m. until late at night. You will enjoy the beauty of the lights there, on weekends or Saturday nights there is usually live music

It's always nice to spend time at Merdeka Walk (MW) there are some malls nearby, train station, lots of restaurants and some activities around me.
You can literally enjoy everything once at a time.

Great place for any activities, really. The place is very spacious and perfect for taking a walk, jog, doing sports, exercise, etc...
You can find many people doing any kind of activities here including community gathering, sports club, dance club, people playing football, badminton, volley, skating, you name it.
On saturday night it's often crowded here. The place is packed with many people gathering and making their own circle to talk to each other, joke, or play music together.
There are sports facilities which sadly didn't maintained well.
The part right in front of the station, there are many book shop in the upper side, right above the parking lot. But it's a little dirty.
There are also many good restaurants, including Ayam Penyet Ria, Nelayan, Warung Kopi Srikandi, Starbucks, McDonalds, and many more.

Merdeka Walk is at the center of Medan and right in front of Medan Station, making it's the perfect and strategic spot to begin your Medan journey (if you are new here), because getting tranportation is very easy.

Eventhough some parts didn't maintained well and a little dirty, the place is still an amazing place for you to do any kind of activities.

So many brand food around here. Nelayan (seafood), Srikandi (Traditional food) . Starbuck (coffe) McDonal (western)

So many delicious food here. famous place in town. and i like Nelayan Restaurant. the dim sum yummy...Leng Hong Kien nya juara.

I often visit here to simply hang out. A solar eclipse happened to past through Medan back in 26 Dec 2019, so I went here to get a clear view if the eclipse. The eclipse is simply stunning. Sadly many food outlets are closed today. If it reopens, I will definitely revisit it. One of the few parks in Medan

Great food street and place to hang out. The noise from bike is pretty annoying though.

Nice place ... There variation of food, love the dimsum and the chilly sambal... don't forget to trying crisan tea.

Good place for exercise, there are alot of restaurants, good public facility and sometimes people have their wedding ceremony here.
