Nilgiri Mountains

Though we visited in the month of April it was cold and raining in Nilgiri Mountains.... The climate was wonderful.... We enjoyed the toy train ride..... It took us through mountains and the view was astonishingly awesome.... Apart from that we enjoyed the boating and the market in the evening was too good to roam around.... Transportation was easily accessible.. Overall Ooty is must visit place..

It's a beautiful place. Early morning view is superb. The journey from Bandarban city to Nilgiri is just fantastic. The beauty of the hills & mountains is divine.

To me the journey is a better experience than the place itself.

Ooty is one of the most/frequently visited tourist attractions. Doddabetta is the highest peak at a height of  2,637 metres.
The animals found there are Indian Elephant, Nilgiri tahr, leopard, mongoose etc.
There are about 3,300 species of trees and plants there.

Nilgiri is the name given to a range of mountains spread across the borders among the states of Tamilnadu, Karnataka and Kerala. The nilgiri hills are part of a larger mountain chain known as the Western Ghats. The district is contained mainly within the Nilgiri Mountains Range. The administrative headquarters is located at Ooty. The Blue Mountains were likely named for the widesperead blue strobilanthes flower or the smoky haze enveloping the area.

The Nilgiri hills is a beautiful spot to hangout with friends. Best time to visit is in the month of Niv and December

It gives a magnificent view of the Nilgiri Hills that will knock your breath away. It is named after the wife of the British Viceroy, Charlotte Canning. It gives the beautiful view of the valleys and the mountains that is surrounded by. The month's from November to February offer the most amazing weather.

This is where I took my first stop during my Mysore Ooty ride. This place was very calm. There were goats and small kids playing on the grass.
