A fabulous place to visit and experience. Beautiful buildings and decorations. Wonderfully serene ponds and walkways. Listening to the sounds and sitting with the community was a moving experience. Following others as they prepared to enter the sacred spaces was interesting and rewarding.

Head coverings are available and shoes can be left - free of charge - downstairs to the side of the main entrance.

From the moment I stepped through the gates of Gurudwara Sri Bangla Sahib, I was enveloped in a sense of peace and tranquility. The spiritual aura that permeates the premises is palpable, creating a serene and sacred environment conducive to introspection and prayer.

The architectural grandeur of Gurudwara Sri Bangla Sahib is awe-inspiring. The gleaming golden dome, intricate marble work, and majestic facade are a testament to Sikh craftsmanship and devotion. Every corner of the gurudwara exudes beauty and reverence, inviting visitors to marvel at its splendor.

It’s always very interesting knowing new cultures and religions, this place is very unique, out of all the temples I visited in this one no shoes but no socks either are allowed. The floor was very hot, except for the with tiles, the tour guide told us to step only on the white tiles.

There is a tourist area where you can leave your shoes and you can can borrow a “bandana” type fabric that you have to use to
Cover your hair.

There’s a huge area with water where people take a bath.

We had a tour to another area where food is served, you can see in my pics of the kitchen where everything is being prepared.

Chanting of 'Waheguru' along with the harmonious kirtan (devotional music) in the background adds to the spiritual ambiance, making it easy for one to meditate and find inner peace. The warmth and kindness of the people at Bangla Sahib reinforce the message of brotherhood and the Sikh greeting, "Shree Waheguru ji ka Khalsa, Waheguru ji ki Fateh. Satnam Shree Waheguru," which resonates deeply with the essence of this holy place.

Stunningly beautiful Sikh Temple in Connaught Place. The Temple feeds tens of thousands of people daily for free, which is amazing. N.B. Both men and women are required to cover their heads before entering the premises.

This is my First time visit to Gurudwara. Very nice and peaceful Atmosphere. Museum also will be there explaining the history of Sikhs.
Langar (means free food)also available - Chapati, Rice and daal provided unlimited and also will give in boxes if you bring. A must visit place for mental relaxation. Big pond also will be there.

Such divine and beautiful place felt soo good and positive at Bangla sahib. Had blessing and consumed prashad it so satisfying and gave peace. Spent some time praying

Just to inform keep your shoes at gurudward shoe seva place only if you keep out chances are there of getting misplaced

Volunteers, known as sevadars, worked tirelessly to ensure that every visitor was welcomed with open arms and offered food, shelter, and spiritual guidance. The langar (community kitchen) of Bangla Sahib is renowned for serving free meals to thousands of people every day, regardless of caste, creed, or religion—a powerful testament to the Sikh principles of equality, compassion, and inclusivity.

Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, with its unique blend of architecture, spirituality, and commitment to community service, has become a cherished destination for me, offering cultural richness and spiritual solace right in the heart of Delhi.

Beautiful historical Gurudwara where 8th Sikh Guru - Guru Harkrishan Sahib Ji stayed. It used to be a bungalow (Bangla) of Raja Jai Singh, Rajput ruler. People would visit Guru Sahib Ji here during times of small pox and cholera epidemic in the city of Delhi.

It is said that Guru Sahib Ji had a healing touch and recovered many of their followers with their blessings.

This Gurudwara is the biggest one in Delhi, with a huge sarovar and langar hall. Internal walls of the Gurudwara are all gold-plated as well as the beautiful palki of Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Sewadars also offer Amrit (holy water) to people here who partake it as Guru Ji’s blessings.

The Gurudwara is active 24/7 and you will always find peace here, even though weekends will be very crowded with lots of tourists as well.

Very clean and meditative atmosphere inside the Gurudwara. The sarovar was very clean irs like clear water. The overall experience was very good everything was systematic you will feel like you are somewhere in the lap of God, Waheguru.

There is a sarvar where you can see fishes of different varieties and people worship this sarovar keeping Golden Temple Amritsar Sarovar which is portrayed to cure dreadful diseases.Kadh Prasad,Jal/water Service and Lunger-food is available at appropriate places.
The Gurudwara has a real story inscribed on Granite Boards in Gurumukhi,English and Hindi! once the king Man Singh's Queen thought to assess the Sanctity and Purity of Bal Sikh Guru.She mixed herself with Maids but eight year old Guru aHar kishan Sahib identified Queen and sat on her Lap!!!

This is a historical Gurudwara, read its history before going. It also houses Sarovar, a tank which is equipped with a chair lift. Do not miss the Langar, community kitchen. Which served food to millions during Covid. It also housed doctors and nurses during Covid.

Gurudwara Sri Bangla Sahib is a religious place, hence people should not wear short dresses here. People in Gurudwara also forbid wearing shorts 🩳. People can come here for darshan with their family and friends and can also enjoy the langar.

On a foggy cold Sunday morning in Delhi, I had the beautiful opportunity to visit Gurudwara Sri Bangla Saheb in Delhi.
It felt like a place where peace, prayers, charity and humanity meet.

The place was extremely clean. Everything was well organised and we moved through to the inside of the darbar line very quickly.
We need to keep our heads covered and bandanas are available to do so.

I had tears rolling down my eyes as I walking up the stairs. It felt like a very powerful yet peaceful place.
