So Quit but so loud at the same time, i was there for my Nature walk,managed to sea some wildness of The land .

a masterpiece in restoration by Joss Brooks and his team of ecologists and architects at Auroville!
the years of work really shows in the result that is the forest in terms of sheer biodiversity.
they also have a nursery in the campus which is used to nurture the plants and serve in the conservation effort and also a museum within the forest to educate

Humans made Forest. It took 40+ yrs of sheer dedication to create this Sub-Tropical forest. Nature's love is everywhere here.....!!! Must visit place in Auroville.

Beautiful forest with a lot of wildlife and fauna

If you wanna take a stroll, then this is the right place for you ! You can find a lot of flora and fauna around... one memorable moment for us was that we found a lovely dog which continued to follow us everywhere we went till we reached the roadside... !!!

A unit of Auroville that is restoring lakes, planting and reclaiming forests, especially the TDEF and mangroves. Amazing.

The forest is a human marvel! It is a result of what can result when man and nature co-operate. The land was barren and is a human-made forest. The forest is entirely eco-friendly has unique flora and fauna. On the benches and pillars there are excellent pieces of art made by the local villagers which are as real as the animals themselves.
There is a small collection of different relics of animals as found in the forest. There is also a collection of the local heritage in terms of objects of daily use of bygone era.

Stunning little forest about forty acres in size, Cashew plantation converted into tropical forest, now teeming with butterflies and birds. Remember Sunday is a Holiday. All the best.

Gorgeous forest and wonderful project afforesting the area. What's especially wonderful is the way they preserve medicinal plants and educate others about the importance of using plants to treat medical problems!

Lovely walk. Go as early as possible to avoid the heat and during the week to avoid the crowds.
