Selloi Langmai Ecological Park

You can enjoy the best sight of this park during spring season so that all those trees and lawns will be greeny. Spot is also good to enjoy for families with camping. The road connecting to this park is terrible - bring a mask & don't come during rainy season. Check out some photos while I visited today (31st Jan, '18). It's all greyish as it's winter season.

Selloi Langmai Ecological Park is a park situated at Nongmaijing Chingkhong hill, Laphupokpi, Kshetrigao, Imphal East district. Laid out on the slopes of a hill, the Selloi Langmai Ecological Park, Manipur is a landscaped delight. Well maintained and laid out, the entrance with its wood and cane decorated doorway, beckons you to soak in the lap of nature. A walk in the park is an invigorating experience and can leave you spell bound by its beauty. Trees planted on either side of the path change colors with the season thus giving the place a different look all around the year. Crossing a miniature bridge brings you to the centre of the park. The main part of the park is laid out with flower beds displaying the variety in color and shape. Climb to the top of the hill and avail the panaromic view of the park and its surrounding terrain. A rose garden and a vegetable garden add further interest for the visitor. If you are fond of nature, the park is a place you must visit and rejuvenate yourself.

What is there to see?

Well maintained park, one can walk around and enjoy the beauty of the park.Pond where local cat fish are ruling.A small bridge over this pond.Traditional house of meetei community.Children park.Native plants, fruits and flowers.Water flowing down from hills.Birds. Some people claim that deer, fox and wild small cats (keijenglang) are rarely seen around the park. (I am not lucky yet)Facilities:

Incredible views and scenery but the road is terrible.... Please don't follow the google map way.. instead ask the way to park road to the residents local people

Best park and you will get fresh air and peace

The developers must have had a very big heart and imagination, when they went about developing this beautiful landscape, situated on the western side of Varuni hills. To sum up the whole place, its a big park on a mammooth scale with various ridges, valleys and gentle slopes lined with various kinds of flowers. The best part about it is the long gentle slopes with various plantations, and the small pond with the little bridge over it. While nothing beats the beauty out of the naturally gifted place, its the approach road, which asides from being too narrow, is quite uneven n dusty, but like beauty is skin deep, people will continue to flock to this small piece of heavenly garden, bad roads or not.

I usually visit this place quite often. To reach there, the final 1 - 2 km road is not so good (its a kachha road, SUV or higher ground clearance vehicle is more suited)

Upon reaching there the scenetic beauty is raw and uncompromising. Its really worth the visit again and again. Far from Town area, you wont believe such beauty exists here.

Parking are chargeable but very less (Rs 20/- INR) per vehicle without any time limit is just like a free service.

Entry fees are also very less.

You can order LUNCH or DINNER here but prior order booking is required. At the entrance some local shops are available for a quick bite and drinks.

A very quiet and serene Park, went there with Family and really enjoyed the day with so cool scenery and the real taste of nature with no pollution of any kind be it noise of vehicles or be it any other type,
