Sarvestan Sasanian Palace

As part of Sassanian Landscape of Fars province which is listed by UNESCO as the world heritage site it's amazing to visit. it was my 2nd time to visit and both there is no guard, not protection and it's too bad.

The Sassanid Palace at Sarvestan (Persian: کاخ ساسانی سروستان‎‎ kakh-eh Sassani-ye Sarvestan) is a Sassanid-era building in the Iranian city of Sarvestan, some 90 km southeast from the city of Shiraz. The palace was built in the 5th century AD, and was either a gubernatorial residence or a Zoroastrian fire temple.
The Sarvestan Palace was built by the Sasanian king Bahramgur (Persian: بهرام گور‎‎) (r. 420-438), and dominates an immense, empty plain.

not as magnificant as Ardashir palace in Firuzabad, but if you are eager to learn more about Persian history and architecture, visit there. good news is there is no ticket

for we persians it is so intersting to see what we had befor Islam.and the last empire the Sasanies. and their structures will be so intersting.especially when you red alot about them.

It's one of the sassanid palace that located in south of iran and some tourist visited these days, i saw that when i was in an entomology tour with a polish group when we came back from Mian jangal

یکی از کاخ های بسیار باشکوه بازمانده از دوران شاهنشاهی ساسانی و بزرگترین گنبد تک ضربی بازمانده از آن‌دوران، حتما و حتما ارزش دیدنش را دارد، شوربختانه، با آن‌که این کاخ در سیاهه میراث جهانی محور ساسانی جای دارد، تقریبا هیچ تابلو راهنما و دسترسی به آن در طول مسیر وجود ندارد، و حتما از گوگل مپ کمک بگیرید برای دسترسی آسان‌تر، همچنین آنجا فاقد سرویس بهداشتی است، و فقط یک آبسردکن(اگر روشن باشد) موجود است، بدنه بنا سالیان سال است که در دست مرمت قرار دارد، و پر است از یادگاری نویسی های زشت و گردشگران وندال که آسیب جدی به آن وارد کرده‌اند

Il Palazzo Sarvestan, risalente al V secolo d. Cristo, è un edificio sassanide situato nei dintorni della città di Sarvestan, situata a circa 90 km dalla città di Shiraz.
E' posizionato in un'immensa pianura desertica.
Non si conosce l'uso del'edificio.
Appartiene al "Panorama archeologico sasanide della regione di Fars", che rientra nei patrimoni UNESCO.
Il fabbricato è ancora in lenta manutenzione ma perfettamente visitabile e di facile accesso. L'insieme ha mantenuto intatto l'impianto storico e trasmette suggestione, soprattutto se visitato all'alba o al tramonto..

معرفی

مجموعه‌ی ۲۵ هکتاری کاخ ساسانی سروستان به وسیله‌ی «مهر نرسی»، وزیر مشهور «بهرام گور» ساسانی با استفاده از مصالحی همچون سنگ و گچ ساخته شده است. بنای کاخ ایوانی مربعی در مرکز دارد که طول و عرض آن به ۱۳ و ارتفاع آن به ۱۸ متر می‌رسد. در این بین باید به گنبد آن در مرکز و حیاط هم اشاره کرد که فرمی خاص به این بنا داده است.
ایوان مرکزی کاخ ابتدا به تالار اصلی و سپس به چهار حیاط وصل می‌شود. در سمت دیگر اما دیوار جنوبی تالار مرکزی به یک ایوان جانبی در بیرون از تالار اصلی منتهی می‌شود. به شمال کاخ که نگاه کنیم، ایوانی را می‌بینیم که با استفاده از چند پله به محوطه‌ی بیرون کاخ دسترسی می‌یابد. برخلاف ایوان شمالی، ایوان شرقی اما به تالار مرکزی و بخش‌های دیگر کاخ متصل می‌شود. در دو طرف این بنا دو اتاق باریک به همراه طاق گهواره‌ای قرار گرفته است.
برای قرار گرفتن گنبدها (قدیمی‌ترین گنبد آجری ایران) روی بنا از فیلپوش (یکی از روش‌های «گوشه سازی» برای تغییر مقطع «چهارگوش» دیوارها به «گِرد» برای ساخت طاق یا گنبد بر روی دیوار) استفاده کرده‌اند. علاوه بر گوشواره‌ها از ستون‌هایی هم برای نگه داشتن گنبدهای مدور و سقف استفاده شده است تا فرم نهایی کاخ تکمیل شود.
