Very nice place and excellent scenery, but it's not for swim. Camping area is available around the lake.
The Alamoot castle and mountain are nearby.

Very beautiful lake that resides in alamut area. This place is crowded in weekends especially in warmer seasons so its better to plan your visit in weekdays. The road from qazvin to the lake is very beautiful with amazing views to area and alborz mountains.

For me!
Ovan Lake is located in km 80 of Qazvin Province, in Alamut and near Hassan Sabah Castle. During a trip along with my brother and two of my friends to this lake, I was impressed by the beautiful nature of this region, the so lake water is clean and transparent can easily see the floor of the lake...................

almost Small lake but the gorgeous one .... suggestion is to visit there in April & May because of astonishing weather , Green scenes , beautiful clouds in sky and adequate clean water in the lake ..... Enjoy !

watching and enjoying beautiful and fascinating sceneries in a short trip. Crowding around the Lake is disappointment and provent to enjoy there.
We arranged two days trip to visit Ovan lake and Alamut castle.

A ancient an wonderful lake. You can swin or use a plastic boat to go in. Close to ancient castel of Almut. Best place to camp in the are with access to drinkable water and WCs
