Route 1 Guesthouse

1 of the better accomodation that I have stayed in Iceland (similar price comparing). We had the room with private toilet, it is super spacious with towels included. Also 1 of the most comprehensive breakfast. It is included for free (eggs not included), just need to self-prepare.

Pleasent guesthouse with all neccessary amenities. The room was of decent size. The bed was comfortable. I had my own bathroom. In the public kitchen there was cereal, fruit milk etc for free. Public transport to Reykjavik is a 10 min walk away. For the price it's really good value for money! The only drawback I had was that when the sink or shower was turned on there came a weird smell, probably due to old pipes or something.

Very spacious room with comfortable bed and ensuite. Very reasonably priced and ideal for travellers who have rented a car. Great black out curtains for the midnight sun!
No turndown service, but very friendly staff who offered clean towels and new rubbish bags when needed.
No tv in room which was surprising but not necessary.
Fast food, restaurants, petrol station, supermarket and diner all within walking distance.
Great self-cook breakfast included and excellent kitchen for preparing food at any meal. Perfect for those on a budget!

Just a small, family-owned establishment. But the room size and decor are decent, within walking distance to restaurants and supermarket. What I love about the place is how they trust their customers, you check in and check out by yourself, there is a refrigator for breakfast and customers are only expected to take the food and juices inside for breakfast only and you go to settle the payment without them push you. The owner and the staff are also very friendly and warm.

Christie our host got us a warm greeting as we arrived and show us the hostel and their rooms. This hostel seems to be very new due to the new interior inside. As well the kitchen was big and contains all the things you need to cook a dinner for more then 2 persones. The rooms were big as well and some of them contain a own bathroom. Altogether it was a very pleasant stay here, directly on the road no. 1 and we would choose this guesthouse again. Thanks for the nice stay, Christie!

Very lovely place to live, comfortable, neat and clean. You can have everything in kitchen even seasoning! Also own a bathroom in your room with good price!

Really pleasant gueshouse a 10 minutes drive from Reykjavik City. Help-youself breakfast in a collective kitchen included. But not suitable for handicapped.

The place is conveniently located just 20mins drive from city or 40mins from airport, it has everything needed if you don't mind self check-in

Très bon rapport qualité prix pour l'Islande! Imbattable. Belle surprise de voir qu'on disposait d'une salle de bain perso. Belle petite cuisine équipée parfaite pour repas et petit déjeuner. De plus la dame du personnel est très gentille et ça à l'air d'être dans son caractère pas simplement commercial.

Von außen denkt man oh je aber innen ist es perfekt. Zimmer war riesig und modern eingerichtet. Es gibt auch gemeinsame Räumlichkeiten Bad und Küche.

Quarto muito agradável, super limpo e quentinho. Sistema de cozinha e frigorífico muito funcional e simpático.
