One of the most impressive falls we have beheld with our eyes, and we have experienced Niagara and Victoria before the waterfall of the Gods bowled us over. The grandeur is breathtaking.

Must visit waterfall! I recommend the east side for best view and close up experience but not long to go to both.
Parking is free but gets busy during day I recommend going early or late

This waterfall is absolutely beautiful. You will have several different viewpoints of it and it truly is majestic! It is on the ring road and if you are traveling around this road, this is worth the visit. It's on the road and a very short walk to get here so it's very accessible.

We were on a private tour and Godafoss Waterfall was one of the places we visited, stunning to take in the surrounding views and listening to the sound of water, amazing.
Highly recommend.

Beautiful outdoor experience. The weather was perfect - sunny and a slight breeze. I highly recommend this stop when you are in Iceland. Tour company is Traveling Viking - our tour guide, Jon is knowledgeable and friendly.

Great waterfall with multiple viewpoints. Small side path down to the opposite bank of the falls for additional great photo opportunities.

I took a tour from Akureyri. The drive is easy along highway 1. Scenery is beautiful along the way. In my opinion, the better thing to do is to join a tour and guide locally from the cruise ship terminal. There are plenty available and price is reasonable.

Beautiful waterfall. It’s an easy walk to the falls. There’s parking on both sides and a paved walkway that is wheelchair accessible if you park at Goðafoss East Bank Parking. The West side has steps going down to the falls but can still be viewed from that side. There’s a footbridge as well. You can easily drive to both sides or walk. Entrance and parking are free.

Beautiful but really cold. Place is quite accessible without having to hike much from carpark. Very beautiful with certain parts frozen

A beautiful waterfall is a nice place for walking around and enjoying nature has a small table for taking lunch.

You can park on both sides and see the other view of the waterfall is famous but not very touristic.

Has good parking lot and us free .

Is a big souvenir store

Incredible waterfall with several view points to see it from. The path on the left takes you right to the origin so you can get up close. If you are athletic, you can proceed down to the base and reach the river.

Bought the tour from a vendor close to the cruise port in Akureyri. It was roughly $70 per person, but you can take the public bus from Akureyri for $26. The falls are gorgeous, you can take different paths to get closer to the water. The beautiful blue water is runoff from glaciers. There is a visitor center with restrooms, gifts, and food. There is no entrance fee, about 30 minutes from downtown Akureyri.

Absolutely amazing experience. Came here on a Wednesday in October with my wife while visiting Akureyri, and it did not disappoint. 100% would recommend for anyone visiting northern Iceland to visit.

Stunning falls!! Felt like a smaller version of Niagara Falls! Beautiful! It was slightly crowded, but not enough for some great photos!

What a wonderful, scenic attraction! So easy to get in and out of. A wide, paved walking path made it a breeze to get to right off the main road. There's a gift shop and bathrooms for all the road warriors out there in need of a quick stop. Multiple viewing points make it so easy to capture that perfect camera shot or selfie. Well worth the stop!

Very accessible and well worth it. No tickets needed. Decent amount of parking. The gift shop has good bathrooms and some heated food. The walk is cleared and not difficult, but of course can be slippery.

I definately recommend walking on both sides of the waterfall. They offer different kind of views. You can also walk down by the water on some very steep stairs.

The parking lot it pretty close to the waterfall, on both sides maybe 1-2min walk. There is also parking lots on both sides of the river. So you don't need to walk to other side, but if you want, it is possible.

Wow, what a spectacular place, there are a number of different areas you can take photos both sides of the waterfall, most of them are accessable via fairly level paths. You could quite easily spend an hour or more just staring at it. There are also WC's and a gift shop and cafe near the car park. Definitely worth the travel to get there and it's free.

One of the most beautiful waterfalls I’ve ever seen. We visited it at the end of the winter and a good bit of this waterfall was frozen which made for a truly spectacular viewing. There is a good gift shot at the entrance to this fall where you’ll find the cheapest fridge magnets in Iceland and plenty of other gifts at reasonable prices. Would definitely recommend the waterfall and the gift shop.
