Kvika Footbath

Lovely hot spring just in front of a great view of the mountains. Perfect to relax your feet during a walk or heat up your hand (careful the water is very hot). You will find the hot spring on your way to the lighthouse (very nice view also over there by the way) just next to the pedestrian and bike way (in the middle of the rock). Enjoy

SOOO very happy to have been able to find this great little spot!!! Took us a bit of time to find it but once we did, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I didn't soak my feet but did immerse my cold hands and it felt great on such a cold and windy day.

I am including a photo I took with the small building, to give context for other visitors to help find it.

Great view, nice walking area with a parking lot close by. I recommend finding this little gem!

Cute spot with amazing views! Park at the Heating station and walk down behind the old fish house. Water is a perfect temperature and you can watch the waves crash on the rocks below and see the lighthouse to the left. Fits 4 adults.

Found it in dark, it was very cold and windy but the water was still hot. Did not put my feet in but felt it with my hand and was pleasantly surprised

This is just a gem. So lovely, especially in the colder days. We stayed there for 25 minutes and it warmed us up to the bones (even upper body was hot). I recommend having a towel with and probably best to have a fresh pair of socks as well.

my photos are extremely dark, i know, but i went here in the middle of the night while looking for the aurora. it’s small but a really nice little foot bath with warm water. it’s a bit hidden but if you follow the path down to the little shed and look behind it (close to the water) you’ll come up on the foot bath. if you’re already in the area near the lighthouse, it’s worth a quick visit to dip your feet and relax for a minute.

Very cool, actually warm. Big enough for one person. Overlooks the water, lighthouse. Unique experience.

It was a beautiful day and no one was using it. In fact we had it to ourselves for the whole time we were there! I thought the water was a great temperature. You also have to go behind the shed structure towards the beach to find it, but it’s not particularly hidden.

Loved it. Perfectly warm and inviting. Careful not to slip !

Its there. We went in the rain, I would recommend a nice summer day. The view of Reykjavik is beautiful, be sure to stop by the lighthouse.

We were a little confused as to how to find it but if you walk closer to the sea by the rocks near the little hut you will find it 🥰🥰

Beautiful little, hot footbath!!! Actually too hot to put my feet in. I had the place to myself and enjoyed sitting there watching, and listening to the birds.

Unique hot pool. The very first one of many we will try. This is close to a fish drying shack.

Amazing little diamond in the rough behind the old fish house. Great vantage point to view the aurora while giving your feet a break from a long day of sightseeing. Very nice temperature, comfortable seating for 3-4 adults or 1 small adult or 1-2 children could submerge. Also, it's an installment by a local artist :)

Awesome little hot spring out near the lighthouse. Can sit and rest those sore feet and look out over the ocean and Mt. Esja!
