Ariccia Sora Lella

Visiting Sora Lella in Ariccia was an unforgettable experience! The essence of a traditional Osteria was fully captured, making our sunny, warm day even more perfect with the best company imaginable for our first visit to this charming town. Amidst a picturesque row of quaint, closely-set restaurants, Sora Lella stood out as an exceptional choice.

Our host, presumably the owner, was absolutely remarkable. Although I never caught her name, her warmth, welcoming smile, and palpable passion and experience were vividly evident. She, along with two wonderful assistants working behind the scenes, created a delightful atmosphere.

The culinary offerings were phenomenal. The porchetta was the finest I've ever enjoyed—a true standout. Generous portions didn't compromise the exquisite flavours that began with the appetisers and extended through to the desserts. The homemade pasta, including pappardelle and gnocchi, was superb, with the gnocchi amatriciana being the best I've ever had. The sauces were rich and memorable. Our host’s guidance in selecting dishes was spot-on, enhancing our dining experience significantly.

Remember to pace yourself—it’s a must to take a leisurely walk after such a satisfying meal. Kudos to the team at Sora Lella for a brilliant experience. It was simply brilliant!

We arrived on a Saturday at 14:45 (about 15mins before the kitchen closes). The restaurant was still semi-packed but we had a seat immediately.

The atmosphere is amazing. It's classic, picnic-style tables with plastic plates and cutlery. I loved it.

The staff is hardworking, so don't expect much chit-chat although they're wonderful and super helpful! Their restaurant is always full, so it's understandable.

As for the food, it's amazing. One mixed starter for two, amatriciana, carbonara, tiramisù and coffee for €25,00 is a dream I could live daily!

I'd go back there in a heartbeat! Fortunately, it's only an hour away from Rome by train then about 25mins away on foot from the train station of Albano Laziale. Which means we'll be back soon!!

Really good food that doesn't charge tourist tax. We had the cacio e pepe & carbonara pasta. Delicious! And affordable.

Simpatica e famosa fraschetta di Ariccia.
Menù a prezzo fisso comprendente diversi antipasti, un ottimo primo, a soli 15 euro.
Più le bibite a pagamento , ma a prezzi modici.
Tipica atmosfera dei Colli.

Se passate per Ariccia e vi fermate a mangiare dalla Sora Lella non vi pentirete della scelta!
Ci sono 4 o 5 menù a prezzo fisso.
Essendo un piccolo paese, i parcheggi sono pochi e molti di questi sono a pagamento.

Prezzi incredibili, a cui quasi non siamo più abituati: Menù antipasti e primo a 15€ bevande escluse.
Ottima qualità dei prodotti e anche la pasta è fatta veramente bene.
Ambiente rustico e casareccio che rende il tutto perfetto!

Siamo venuti a mangiare in questa tipica fraschetta Romana dietro consiglio di persona del posto. Tipica trattoria della zona di Ariccia, dove lungo le vie si susseguono diverse osteria con la stessa offerta enogastronomica di buon cibo della tradizione romana a prezzi contenuti. Da Sora Lella questo lo abbiamo ampiamente trovato. Il locale di tipo informale e caratteristico di una cantina con tavolate rustiche e panche dove accomodarsi, ci ha accolto con il calore tipico della Roma genuina e di brava gente. Abbiamo, dietro consiglio dell' oste, cominciato con gli antipasti misti per poi passare ad un tris di primi. Tutto servito su vassoi in coccio tra l'immancabile porchetta di Ariccia (squisita), i salumi freschissimi, fagioli, mozzarelle, olive e formaggio per poi concludere con sua maestà la trippa al sugo che si scioglieva praticamente in bocca. Abbiamo proseguito con l' assaggio di un tris di primi cacio e pepe, amatriciana e carbonara. Uno più buono dell' altro. Il tutto accompagnato dal classico vino romanella dei castelli dove alla fine abbiamo intinto i taralli al vino.
Il prezzo per tutto questo non supera le €20 a persona. Le porzioni sono abbondanti ma soprattutto l'utilizzo delle materie prime ci ha lasciato davvero soddisfatti. Da consigliare per un buon rapporto qualità-prezzo e cibo tipico romano.
