Casa Vinicola Ettore Sammarco Ravello

Apparently we were the first Ukrainian visitors there. Great experience, totally worth 25€. Tasted wine, met the owner, had little tour at the winery. Hiked from Amalfi, so wine tasting was a nice reward.

Absolutely amazing experience. We got to meet the founder of the delicious Costa D’Amalfi wine, which has been around since 1962. The whole team was so kind & passionate, and treated us like family. Such a warm experience and we feel grateful that we spent an afternoon supporting and learning from them.

Mr. Ettore and his team showed us amazing hospitality at his winery and restaurant in Ravello. We arrived at the winery for a wine tasting. His team went through and explained how the wine is made/aged and what types of grapes are used.

We were planning to take a bus into the town of Ravello.

Mr. Ettore took the hospitality to another level and personally drove us up to his restaurant that he owns in Ravello. We had an amazing lunch and overall experience.

We hope to come back in the future.

Highlight of our Amalfi trip. They have some of the best wine we’ve tasted as we’ve travelled around Italy. If you going to Amalfi, I would recommend going to this winery.

The wine tasting guide/host was fantastic. He described the wines well and had pictures of the different kinds of grapes, which I found very helpful in understanding the wine better. The guide also spoke 5 languages (Italian, English, Spanish, French and German). It was amazing hearing him flip through the languages as he helped different people.

They have such a good variety of wines and they are were so amazing. I don’t normally love white wines but some had a mineralty to them that was fantastic. There reds were out of this world amazing.

Ettore, one of the winery owners, came over to our tasting and it was amazing speaking with him. Him and his wife run the winery. He speaks Italian and he was so patient while I spoke broken Italian and with the tasting guide translating.

Overall, it is worth coming to this winery for the amazing wines and great experience with the staff.

One of the best tastings I’ve had! The wine produced by this family is truly a delight. I learned a lot about the local varieties, the history and the unique qualities of the wine produced in the area. Thank you so much for such a memorable experience!

This winery was GREAT! The bus drops you off right in-front of the place but we thought oh it’s 9 minutes away but it ended up being a 30 min hike up the stairs. Needless to say a tasting very well deserved lol! It was one of the best tastings I have EVER done, very welcoming family and the founder was there overlooking everything his workers were doing. We ended the tasting with us buying 5 bottles to take home. They were not pushy about us shipping them back home to the states which I liked a lot! Highly recommend this winery! If you have the time and want some VERY GOOD white and red wine I recommend coming here! Very worth the $20 you spent

We had a great time touring and tasting these wonderful wines! They helped us to send a case of wine back home and arranged transportation back up the hill to our guest house and planned lunch for us at a great place called Palazzo Confalone. Great family business with the founder still involved. Here is a picture of us with him.

This was one of our favorite moments of our entire Europe trip!!! We loved every single second (and wine) at this winery. They made us feel so beyond special and went the extra step to set up an AMAZING dinner reservation at a Palazzo in Ravello. I can’t say enough good things about our experience at Casa Vinicola and the amazing people that own and work here. It was so so so special and we can’t wait to return when we come back to the Amalfi Coast for our honeymoon.

Until then, we will think of our incredible experience every time we drink 1 of the 36 bottles we sent back to the states! Hehe!

My wife and I walked the stairs from our Cliff House to the stunning discovery of Ettore Sanmanaco Winery. There we did a wine tasting with the one and only Ettore himself. He was very knowledgeable and fun to be with as we exchanged stories of our families. It was a memory we will never forget and they shipped all of our wine to the USA for us. After walking up many steps and arriving very sweaty, this winery was everything we needed and more. We got to taste a variety of 8 wines that were all extremely good. On top of getting to see the process of how the wine is made, we also got to meet the owner and learn about his background. The owner was so kind to personally drive us up to a restaurant he owns in Ravello. It had the best view and eating there was a very special memory on our honeymoon that we will cherish forever. This is such a sweet family that couldn’t have been more welcoming. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

We stopped here for wine tasting and had a wonderful time. We didn't have dinner plans, and the grandson recommend a restaurant in Ravello. Ravello wasn't walkable for us, and we couldn't catch the two busses that passed because they were full. Well, the grandson drove us up to the restaurant himself to make sure we were at the restaurant on time. He made our visit and experience absolutely wonderful. You can tell this is a wonderful small family owned businesses with people that care. P.S. if you are looking for an amazing dinner experience ask them about it!

We had such a nice experience, tasting different wines, and having good conversations. Everybody was really nice and we learned a lot about the different wines of the region. In the end we also got to taste some olive oil they produce as well. Because we didn’t know where to go for lunch they recommended us a really nice restaurant with an amazing view and food in Ravello where we then went afterwards.

Worth the walk uphill from Amalfi to experience the passion of Ettore Sammarco and his family who have been producing wine since 1961.

We had quite a hike to get there from Atrani, but it was totally worth it! The winery has a great view, the wines were delicious and people were extremely friendly. The owner went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience in Ravello, even helping us get dinner reservations. I would definitely recommend the visit!

My wife and I arrived around 11 AM with our two children (ages 10 and 12) in tow. We were hiking from Amalfi to Ravello and we were quite sweaty. We entered through the loading area right off the road where they have a small tasting bar set up. We were welcomed by Bartolo, the son of the owner. He was wonderful and spoke English very well as our Italian is not very good. We tasted 3 white wines and three red wines. All of the wines were very good. All made from local varieties. An excellent tasting experience.
