New Risto By Mario

This may be the best Italian restaurant I've eaten at since being in Italy. Mario himself comes out to interact with the guests and provide what feels like an encounter in a real Italian's home. The food is AMAZING and the presentation is TV-worthy! Plus, Mario caters!

Today, I had the eggplant penne with red sauce and chopped sausages and the fried calamari. I've become a fan of pairing a main course or second dish (secondi) with an appetizer like fried calamari. The staff do it so well with the calamari; just enough chew so its not desolving in your mouth while the batter is delicate enough to remain crispy and light. The penne is al dente as it should be. The eggplant maintained a crispness in the penne and tomato sauce and it was almost rubbery because they left the skin but I didn't mind. The staff is pleasant. Our waitress has been here since we've first ate here in 2019. The owner is a gregarious man, a pleasure to talk to. Overall, wonderful experience. They do speak English. Please call in advance on rush times like Friday and Saturday nights to make a reservation.

Don’t let name fool you, this place has great pizza, but you’re missing out by overlooking their other amazing dishes!

They have bacon wrapped everything, from pork medallions to green beans, and it’s all very tasty. A favorite among Americans.

First time here, and loved it! I had the pleasure of being introduced to the owner, and he was more than inviting to his restaurant. He even gave us the back story on the name of the restaurant. So it was so cool! The food was great, and the "holy water" was a great welcoming gift!

New Risto is by far one of if not the top restaurants in Aviano. They offer top notch food, great atmosphere and fun customer interactions. Not once have I had a bad time while dining here; highly recommend.

This was one of the best places that I went when staying in Aviano! If you are staying at the Hotel Oliva it is just a quick walk (100ft) out the front door to the right! The food was amazing and the prices are very reasonable as well! As you come in your are always greeted with "Holy Water" by Mario himself! The staff is always wanting to assist and ensure that your experience is always the best. Prepare for some light and friendly jabbing from Mario but it is all in good fun! Truly a place to remember and hopefully return to!

The pizza is very good and tasty. The number of pizza selections is incredibly large. The staff is friendly and the prices are reasonable.

Family. The hospitality we get from this place is amazing. Food can go good to great. This is our go-to. Out of the many places we've been, we will miss this place the most. Let us know when you visit the USA, we'll come find you.

The greatest ! The most humble and heartwarming people ever ! The greatest service I've ever received. The owners are hardworking and care for every customer. Family to the base and located in the heart of Aviano. Definitely the place to go !

I came for pizza, ended up getting a t-bone steak. Best decision I made.

I ordered the Spagetti with meat sauce and it was amazing. We tried their house red wine and I don't typically like red wine but this was a pleasant experience. The steak I ordered was not cooked to my liking but I still enjoyed the flavor. Highly recommend if your in the area. Was not disappointed even though the steak was over Cooked.

Beautiful, clean, restaurant with friendly, professional and welcoming staff. The food was delicious- I enjoyed the calzone. It was big enough for two. The menu was large and had something for every appetite.
We definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a quality meal at a fair price, with staff who act like they are glad you came. Well done New Risto By Mario!

Very nice!! We loved the tagliatelle and the Bolognese. Also grilled fish was a great assortment and veggies were good.
What truly sets this place apart is the waitress we had. We went twice in a week and really enjoyed building a relationship with her. The price is reasonable and the atmosphere is cozy but clean.

The food and drinks were excellent, Mr.Mario was hilarious and the staff was super courteous and accommodating. We enjoyed every minute at this delectable restaurant, also the staff spoke very good English and offered delicious suggestions for dinner. My family and I will definitely be returning to this amazing restaurant!! Thank you all for an awesome night!!
