Sol & Nef

Absolutely amazing stay and we hope to be back in the winter soon! Great rooms, accommodations, service, and the views are spectacular! Margherita and Carlo were amazing hosts with fantastic suggestions and knowledge of the area. I can’t say enough about this place and HIGHLY recommend it!

Beautiful and quiet place, 5 minutes drive to Marmolada cable car. Nice free parking, very friendly landlady.

Sottoguda is a gem of a place and this residence is a special place within a special place.

It's the perfect blend of professional, hotel-style services (e.g., rooms cleaned every day) and the feel of a family-run apartment. This is to be credited to the owners Carlo e Margherita who are two very genuine and nice people.

They are also super-informative for everything local, from restaurants to attractions, from hikes to other activities. Carlo is an artisan of wrought iron (a local tradition), and definitely he can advise on that too!

The apartments contain everything one needs (at least everything I needed), and they are clean, well-kept and pleasantly decorated. Ours had two pleasant balconies and the relaxing sound of the stream nearby (and if that's not to your taste, great sound insulation is provided by the windows). The main road is nearby but it's not bothersome at all. Sottoguda is a peaceful place.

The location is just perfect for the whole of the Dolomites (basically, in the middle, with the Marmolada just a few minutes away, but also other super-panoramic smaller mountains, elevations and villages if you are, like us, the type that wishes to avoid the big crowds). Prices are very reasonable for the quality. Perhaps the only thing that might be improved is the wifi connection (but it was specific to our floor), but this did not spoil an unforgettable stay and experience. It was far too brief though, and we'll definitely be back!

The apartment is very nice and tidy. It is cleaned very well (every day) and everything you need is there. Besides, the apartment is heated very well, so you will not get cold and your wet skiing clothes will dry perfectly. Carlo & Margherita are VERY nice and helpful people and are always there for you. After only one week in the apartment, to me, they already feel like our (new) Dolomiti friends! We would really recommend other people to stay with Carlo and Margherita and enjoy their beautiful apartment building, but above all their excellent service and nice way of interacting with you as a guest. When we will visit Sottoguda again we will definitely visit Carlo an d Margherita!

The rooms are super cozy and clean, the crew is very friendly, and excellent value for money!
Our family was really satisfied and we can definitely recommend this place both for summer and winter season!

Very nice and cozy place, clean and spaceous room, and bayhroom,wih emphasis on detailes.Enough space in bathroom to live your personal things. I was glad to have found kitchen towels and dish washing soap in the kitchen. Kind and helpful owners.

The week has passed and I still haven't assessed all emotions on a wonderful vacations we've had at Sol e Nef. Where to start, what to say... 'True beauty'. The place and accommodation were immaculate; warm, woody, exceptionally clean, modern. Great looking, spacious bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, with every gadget you would need for cooking, comfy sleeping room + cosy living room area... and lastly the kind and friendly hosts, Margherita and Carlo. All suggestions and any open questions were immediately solved and done from their side. Their knowledge for the region and all the ski resorts was incredibly helpful. They have guided our weekly adventures like a true ski mountaineering professionals... Marmolada + The Museum of Grande Guerra, Arabba, Alta Badia, Val Gardena, Campo di Lungo, Civetta + the Green Sella Ronda all skied out in a week. If there is some sort of hotel equivalent to Michelin Restaurant stars for great service they would truly deserve a bunch of them...

Very friendly owners, very clean. Whoever is doing maintenance is doing a great job as everything just works. Third time for a week of skiing in course of 12 years and will come back given an opportunity!

The most amazing apartments. If we stay in Dolomites, the only place where to sleep is Sol&Nef. The house is celan and Margherita with Carlo are the nicest and kindest people! They'll always help you! I love coming back! See you soon❤❄

We (a family of five) spent three nights at the Sol & Nef.
Our arrival was late, but the host was very accomodating still.
The room was very tidy and nice! Quite large and cleverly laid out with a well equipped kitchen. Every item clean and
The beds were comfortable, and eventual noise from outside was well suppressed by insulated windows so sleep was no problem.
Roomservice was included in price, which was totally reasonable.
And the host family helpful in every way, thank you very much!
The small village of Rocca Pietore was absolutely perfect in our opinion. Small, quiet and with great nature, local market and restaurants nearby. Absolutely recommended, we know we will be back!

Great place, great rooms at a very reasonable price. Nothing to complain, and this is the second time we come back here. Near to many attractions, so five stars on all subjects

Probably the best accomodation for skiing that I have ever seen. After a whole day of skiing, when physically exhausted, you step out of the skibus on a bus stop about 20 (twenty) meters away or park the car on a private parking in front of the place. Then you carry your skis, probably still wearing your uncomfortable skiboots, through a dedicated entrance leading straight to the ski storage room (separate lockers). You leave your ski boots on a wall-mounted drying device and exchange them for your slippers which you left there in the morning. Exit the ski room, use the elevator(!) if extremely tired and you're back in your apartment - which had been discretely cleaned in the meantime if you desired. Definitely recommended.

Very recommended. The rooms are perfect, the location was great, very quiet, yet there is everything you need. The service is one of the best I've ever had.

Siamo tornati dopo 2 anni. Margherita e Carlo sono padroni di casa fantastici. Splendidi appartamenti comodi, puliti e con tutto il necessario. A pochi passi lo splendido borgo di Sottoguda con una bottega ben rifornita x gli acquisti e un ristorante comodo, anche x asporto, x le cene se si vuole evitare di cucinare.
Super consigliato 😉
